So how is your renovation going? My experience with Living Gaia has been a roller coaster. I have a business trip to US which has been delayed further and further, due to more delays from them. The renovation work started around the end of April, and it is still not done. Extremely poor to non-existent project management. I thought that by paying a premium sum, I can relax and focus on my work and let the project manager take care of things. Needless to say there were A LOT of issues -- carpentry, plumbing, tiles, and others. Sigh, I'll need to write a full blog posting after all this.

Congratulations. I am currently renovating under Living Gaia and it has been very unpleasant. What you said there is true -- anything after the first engagement is a big disaapointment. We started off well and then it slowly went downhill from there. right now I am in the middle of renovation. for 3 weeks, there has been minimal work. there has been weekdays where there was no work at all. We went from 1 month to 2 month and a week (hopefully, if the ID honors her word which seems unlikely but we will see) I'll write a blog post soon. I've highlighted my concerns to Living Gaia management if we can work on a common ground.

Hi, Genuine question, why don't you just post the contacts here? So that the thread doesn't run long with the unnecessary "please send me the contacts" replies. Please don't be apprehensive, I am really curiuos. It is possible that posting the contractor's contact details is against the forum rules but I'd still ask why, since it would align with the intention of the poster to promote his contractor because of a job well done. I myself am looking for contractors and has been reading the pages if the contacts were posted publicly. cheers

Looking For A Contractor That You Would Hire

Thanks HarisLee. do you have pictures of his work on your house? -
Hi, I'm new to this forum and I am doing as much research as I can, reading some of the threads looking for past recommended contractors and ID's. However most of the contact details are masked (with xxxxxxx, I think it is a forum policy thing) so as much as I would like to avoid asking the same question, I feel the need to ask again. are you able to recommend a honest and trustworthy contractor? Like everyone else I'm trying not to overspend on renovation, and I would like to strike some balance between a reasonable price, good workmanship, and good profit margin for the contractor (we all need to earn a living). I did email a few contacts (ID's mostly) I got from the forum. But today being Sunday, I might not be able to get a reply until tomorrow or Tuesday. thanks in advance!
