Everyday I gotta see its progress .. simply awesome. The owner is using achromatic palette & it's really cool. The HO is oso soon cos I saw the workers cleaning & packing up.

  11. Hi macbart, yes I've got them as cabinet doors. The doors are expensive, so I waited for the doors then buy the cabinet. Cost-saving, unless no hurry la. I'll dropby Alexandra Ikea once a while for a drink Hi ossify, I'm excited to see your home transformation. Back then, I had similar idea to open up the house. Due to much constraint, & my "conservative" contractor, my home is oso very "conservative" now. haha! I can't agreed more with the hood. Depends on your usage, I had it as a piece of decor to lightup my stove area only. I should've exchange the hood for a good steam oven instead
  12. Hi ossify, that's a good catch. I usu visit the AS-IS area too There's really worthy stuff to buy from sometimes, too good to miss. Hi macbart, I bought the glossy white doors too. Pls check carefully on the piece before your purchase.
  13. Hi, there's isetan private sale on 18 Dec. You can oso find the Disney cutters at Taka & BHG. Not sure if there's 20% disc now
  14. Even welmi will stain. Juz gotto be hardworking in maintenance & rub them with Autosol. Yes, some s/s stuff tarnish easily and even the screw turn rusty. So I change my screws in the bathroom as well.
  15. Hi, I'm using top and bottom mount track bi-fold door. Maintenance is really tough as dirt gets in easily. Gotto clean & scrub weekly. Luckily got Mr. Muscle to help me. Regretted not using glass door last time for the bathroom Hi gantan88, my mum's using the pvc bi-fold from HDB upgrading. Work on hinges & easier to maintain, not nice though
  16. Hi Goobii, thanks. I'm shortlisting V6 for the moment. I'm not sure if it will suit the bedroom. Maybe I need to find a more power one for living instead of installing aircon. Good luck to your moving-in
  17. Hi bluewater, welcome to holland estate. Looks like your reno is progressing well. Hope to see more pics of your new home coming into shape
  18. congrats to your reno. Looks good. Like to ask you abt V6 fan in your living room. Is it windy in your opinion?
  19. Hi, yes Chip Bee Garden is opp Cold Storage. The Daily Scoop new outlet is there. I brought my contractor to Hafary to get the tiles. I think he gets some discount.
  20. from the Katong Laksa belt up to Coffee Club. Ytd check out Daily Scoops. A new outlet @ Chip Bee Garden. WOw, another new chillout. I fancy the arcylic chair & actually comtemplating to get one. Da Paolo Gastronomia if I'm going italian. Fav is Tiramisu & Black Forest, & their pasta sauce Somewhere outside Holland is the commonwealth drive area where I'll walkover for some good & cheap makan
  21. Hi, I got from Allbest a Mit Inv 3 yrs ago. Usage daily from 11 to 8 @ MBR. Corridor bedroom once/twice weekly. Weekends evening maybe on living room for few hours. I nvr on all units at one time. At most 2, having the inv is as good as nil Sometimes very windy & fan is good enough Holland V is great esp if u're a foodie. I'm still learning to control
  22. Me @ 2 .. how abt u? I like our area .. very interesting place I'm looking into reno stuff again & soon next year will start another at a new place. Yes, there's diff. I gotta "standard" stuff & 3 years later .. sweating problem occur. Regret not checking carefully & asking for half inch. Most important is the thickness of the insulation.
  23. hi ossify, welcome to holland V neighborhood! Invertor aircon is cost saving for heavy usage, eg whole day + mutliple units on. For peace of mind, pls choose wider water pipe & thickest insulation. No regrets. For me, I'll choose non-inv next time cos usage level too low. If I on aircon, my neighbor will know & same likewise cos wall/flooring will sweat when it is very humid.
  24. I tried Pentalite and All in one before, those tiny creatures seems to roam around freely. So far, find Medifresh more effective. I wonder if any other paint will do the same.
  25. Yes, I cannot agree more on the type of paint. It's a pain in the neck when such problem occur. I stick by Medifresh and refrain using cheaper range even, though colors maybe limited. I've used once a more pricey paint because of it's nice color but after awhile mites crawled around the walls & ceiling. Cleaned the walls many times but they keep coming. In the end, I repainted the room with Medifresh & mites are gone. I find it strange too, but guess won't give a chance in future.
