  1. Bluewater: the part at the bombshelter may be concealed by carpentry .. but others will be exposed. Jus paint over & forget abt it .. LOL. It's a great relief now cos reno can proceed le. Watta *BIG SIGH* KSJL: I wasn't there during the opennet installation, but you can check out wif Edmund. By now, he might gotta good idea abt the routing. Hope your installation is a breeze. Wow .. I think the clocks are nice. Modern & abstract looking
  2. Grace: I'm not sure if ours will be the same. I did not do false ceiling so this is the best route catered. If Edmund will be ard tmr for your installation, he can advise the opennet guys .. esp if u guys have false ceiling & able to conceal up.
  3. Hello everyone, here it is .. finally the opennet is over
  4. Grace: I'm doing feature wall cum altar at the bombshelter. What time is your appt tmr? It almost took an hour to complete the project by a few workers. Can expect to be messy.
  5. Hello KSJL & grace & joseeng hope you guys enjoyed your holiday weekends! KSJL: I didn't went to megatex .. pretty caught up in the hunt of 1 fan & 1 light. No luck yet I tot I found one & decided to consult Edmund .. but reckon unsuitable *sigh* Hahha .. I'be using curtain for now.Yes, indeed the morning sun can be quite scorching at times. Grace: yup .. our unit's opennet installation completed but I've yet to see it myself. Waiting pics from HB & yes .. Edmund was present this morning too. FINALLY .. reno continues
  6. KSJL: Yes, I recalled seeing the photo you posted on your MBR wardrobe. It's a nice & neat idea Will place a 26" LCD beside the wardrobe as I don't see much space left *sigh*
  7. ok .. will post pics soon .. lemme gun down my unit next MONDAY - fresh from site. Gotta make sure HB bring the giant Nikon down to take pics on the opennet thingy. I told Edmund will post his pics online .. he say dun wan la .. hahaha. Same sentiment here abt the color selections. Haha, let's ask joseeng .. lol KSJL, yes I did a writing top with drawers. Er .. this one got my wall a hole on the other side. Edmund said he'll patch up nicely. As for the wardrobe, it's eating up too much space. Good storage purpose
  8. wow tat's a nice one .. HB will love to have this kinda setup in MBR. KSJL, I visit their storefront then let you know okie. I think they might have something I'm interested. It's quite nearby our area so will like to check it out. "Missoni Home's line is flirtatious and playful with a rich mosaic of luxurious textiles that incorporates design for every part of our lives. The range now includes towels, bedding, throws, soft furnishings, upholstery and curtaining fabrics, rugs, accessories and now furniture."
  9. Wow KSJL .. u really test me this time. Em, should be light brown cos I dun recall seeing anything white K next time I pay attention & check it out again I did 2 warbrobes & find them pretty huge. The depth & size appears overwhelming . maybe tat's the norm? Personally I prefer storage closet but the room size & layout dun permit, unless I hack & combine two bedrooms. The study room got a table top & wall hung cabinets. Initially .. I tot abt Edmund's laminates suggestion .. em .. can meh?!! Ok, it turned out great & we're very happy with his recommendation. Oh well .. I keep my kitchen clean & clear & greaseless. All our guests concluded we dun cook .. but tat's untrue. Tat's the hardship to pay .. LOL All but one side of the living hall color still can't decide. Mostly were painted in cream & shades of cocoa. The lights are pretty normal, the cheapest was 2x $3.90 IKEA LOCK ceiling light. There's still 2 lights & one fan pending
  10. tat's y nowadays must work long hours mah .. I haven't make my round of purchase yet .. if I've time will like to visit Missoni Home tis Sat.
  11. Hi KSJL, quite impossible .. so far haven't seen anyone posted an island there .. area too small to do Wazz has a spacious kitchen to accomodate an island, breakfast counter & ample storage space .. two thumbs up
  12. wow bluewater .. you've a wonderful setup in your study interior. The area looks modern in style to create a comfortable feeling, sure got mood to work hard. It's great to slumber into the luxurious feeling of a boutique-style hotel at home. Definitely it's the time to relax & enjoy in your stylish sanctuary!!
  13. yeah wazz .. you've an awesome new home .. the revamp is really Esp. your kitchen design .. really appealing & the island gives me a surprise!! Best wishes to you
  14. Hi Grace: You asked abt the sink below window previously .. Blackgross's blog (http://www.phpbbserver.com/pinnacleduxton/viewtopic.php?t=1183&mforum=pinnacleduxton) posted his pics .. it's quite well done The kitchen floor tiles is medium grey .. hmm imo it appears dark becos minimal light flows through but tat's easy to maintain. Yeah KSJL, most probably Edmund got his formulae & implementing similar ideas will be safe .. the rest depends on client's preference I gotta SS hob & hood .. must maintain very well cos stainless steel stuff. I used 3M stainless stain polish weekly .. fine hairlines are inevitable. I didn't do false ceiling so likely to see the trunking in the hall *sigh* guess it'll be ok after painting it Grace, have you make your laminate selections? I gotta dark dark laminate & black leather for MBR wardrobe Everyone's ok with it .. except me LOL. Later then I realised the stuff I like is from another laminate vendor which wasn't available for selection. Ouch!! Actually .. Edmund's suggestion turns out great .. my family likes them
  15. Hi bluewater, thanks .. Edmund suggested the cream color for the top cabinets & I find it quite similar to yours. I didn't hesitate on tat instead the bottom skin posed a challenge. Edmund mentioned gotta match with the grey floor tiles .. aiyo haha .. Dark laminate may not be my cup of tea .. but I think he got it right for the kitchen. The outcome is appealing esp. the creme cabinets blend with the ceiling color. I'm expecting the solid top installation tmr again .. hope it'll be fine this time cos he had difficulty installing them last sat. Hi KSJL .. I bought turbo hob & hood. This 3-burner is just right for my layout. I've used ELBA & now trying turbo .. if I've the space, I'll opt a Rinnai So far, living hall reno work halted till 5Apr due to opennet installation. I've not gone to my unit in the day yet .. usu. late evening after work. I took some pics but didn't turn out great. Most probably due to insufficient light source. I'll try again when I visit in the daytime
  16. Hi KSJL, your curtains in the bedroom looks great .. nicely done up Yah .. I encountered the rats as well & I hope you ain't petrified. I was worried cos I stumbled on them at the SB The last time I was up @ 50th SB .. there's a school of red army - those really BIG headed-RED ANTS. Gimme goose pimple looking at it Grace: Mine is corner S1 w/o window in the kitchen. Laminate selection recommended by Edmund. On the opposite side, there'll be a row of wall hung cabinets followed by the fridge new kitchen entrance. Dining table is beside the yard entrance. Pretty small area but suffice Oh yes, KSJL .. I'm doing solid worktop in cream quartz.
  17. Grace, yes most carpentry r upz .. yet to examine them in the daytime. Will update you guys with photos soon. The kitchen layout is ok & I assured the single bowl sink fit nicely. I'm uncertain if we're having the same layout though. Those carpentry pending due to opennet installation will commence right after. Mine appt in the morning, HB will be there to ensure everything's fine
  18. Hi grace & KSJL ... wow so much updates le. Too tight at work & was pressed for output .. breatheless .. feel like Hehe, swift progress for you, Grace KSJL: oh, I really really really wish to see your curtain pics For mine, Day 2 carpentry done but living hall halted. Nid to wait for opennet installation then proceed the rest. Meantime ..
  19. KSJL, oops .. tat's someone else ler cos I went with my mum ard 7pm. We left by 8 & HB got nite class ytd so he can't go up Yes, the woodwork started ytd & installation was really fast .. kitchen & MBR's stuff upz le. Great effort by Edmund's carpenter .. efficiency is there The place was pretty loaded with carpentry. I went ard scrutinizing the areas .. so coindentally, & w/o coming to senses cos too many surprises .. I turned to my mum .. "how come you put your specs here?" woahaha my bad .. I think his worker left a pair of spectacle on the counter top. We love our current home's design. Just tat I can't have a full adaptation of the design on the new home .. it's time to embrace changes Oh well, it's gonna be fine .. .. this is the most exciting week.
  20. everybody!! KSJL: I was over at IMM ytd afternoon. Got something from Song Cho WOw, now my place like war zone Mixed feeling .. of course, i keep bugging my mum .. can bor, er .. nice mah?!!!! is it ok? Hahaha .. Not tat it's isn't great .. just over my personal preference .. i'll say. I related to HB cos he wasn't present .. he said no way for the new place design to look like our current home joseeng yes, my opennet installation on 5 Apr .. will post the update here on tat day
  21. hello joseeng, yes it's me keke, HO ard early April .. so still snailing along pretty slowly. haha .. Hope your is smooth sailing too, same to you Grace Wow, guess Edmund met us on the same day .. we oso had a discussion on Sat Grace: All SS stuff need polishing. At the end of the day, the sparkling shine can be restored using Autosol + strong stamina. I'm using "chicky" brand accessories in the bathroom & kitchen. They're really good. But no so good when I nid to polish them .. esp dish racks
  22. same to you .. enjoy your retail therapy!!
  23. KSJL: That's very nice of you. K, will take note of this. Yes, Welmi is expensive but it's really good stuff. Worthy investment. The steel stay sparkling shine after polishing. Machiam new ones after years. No qualms at it
  24. Grace, looks like we're in the same boat. Em .. I'm still feeling better for the 2 bowl sink. Anyway .. KSJL, I had the "chicky" brand SS accessories. It's good looking when the steel is super shiny. It'll get blur in times & maybe brown stains here & there. WOW .. the polishing part is tiresome lol. Nevertheless, still will buy la .. .. Hahaha.
  25. oops .. did I tickle your funny bones .. hehe. KSJL, trunking will be visible for me as I didn't do false ceiling. The line will enter by the main entrance, run along the ceiling line, pass through the bombshelter feature wall, exit from the altar & run along the skirting till TV point. Trunking size is 200 x 100mm. Ok, I'm assuming it this way for my setup. HB will be there to make sure everything turns out fine. Good luck to me!!
