  6. Some laminate wood flooring will shrink due to our weather whereas for vinyl has less shrinkage. It is also depends on your flat whether it is exposed to morning sun and afternoon sun. So far there is only some reported case. If you will to look around places such as childcare centre, shop such as EPI Cenre, Singaporepools outlets, the flooring look alright even though with very heavy human traffic.
  7. My living room is from Evorich and the cost is about $7.00 (inclusive of GST) There are many in the market such as Kronotex, Invovar. Do your own research. The most important thing to take note is scratch resistance and shrinking due to our weather. Visit the Expo Home Furnishing Fair and check for special price.

  11. It is alright to overlay vinyl tiles on top of broken marble floor but it is not possible to overlay with ceramic tiles. Nowaday more home are going for vinyl tiles due to the convenient and non-messy work. Most vinyl can last for a long time and it is very easy to maintain.
  12. Vohringer is also a good choice and they are HDB Approved Contractor if I am not wrong. Look around and I am sure you can find one that suit your needs.
  13. The best solution is to engage a skilled tiler from JB and let him lay the expensive tiles. As for sands and others such as bit and ends, let the local contractor handle the job. My view only.
  14. Anybody placed order from Supreme? Heard that they have SG50 discount and not sure whether it is subject to certain color range.
  15. For Vinyl or Laminate wood flooring, you can roughly tell them how many square feet you need to install and they will charge you by the boxes. One box contain 8 piece of plank and is enough to cover about 19.8 sq feet, However the size of each plank differ from brand to brand. They will install for you and charge you by the boxes. There are also supplier or contractor who will do a site measurement and add another 5 or 10 percent as wastage and calculate the total cost for the contract. Just for general information and happy shopping.

  21. For wall tiles, most contractor will use special cement. Something like with glue in it, is very easy to work with and the tiles can stick better than the old method. No need to soak the tiles before installation.
  22. Vinyl tiles can be overlay over ceramic tile, sometime it will be necessary to skim coat the grout lines with a floor leveler ig the grout line is greater than 3mm. Laminate wood flooring needs is not waterproof and the subfloor must be perfectly level.
