Nice kitchen! Hope we have the same carpenters. Hehehe...

$1400 for the false ceiling and cove box (size is approx 21ft X 7ft). I'm not having many "dull" lights, so i don't do L box, also don't like the whole living room covered with L box. My shower screen costs $550, $50 more that yours... HG is not cheap, I already knew after surveying around, just want to pay for a peace of mind. A few hiccup till now, but no big issues. Also like the carpenter's work... Busy with work today, no time to go down see see... But tomorrow going over to snap some clear pictures.

Display set are good catch too!!! Wait till he sleep on it, he will praise your choice.

What i'm going to do for the 4th light: Go Ikea buy a nice rounded cone light (those fixed to TV cabinet) and fix it above the sink.

Went up this morning and saw a JM sign at the junction: Welcome to Membina Court! Cosy and cove light: Bomb shelter simple concealed wall: Only with a mirror in the middle, top and bottom will be painted with the wall color. Thanks! Good luck to you too, and a Happy Prosperous New Year! Hehehe... My ID quoted $1.2K for the kitchen glass door (swing, not slide), too EX so I drop this for now. Hope to move in before CNY, so just want to finish up the complex carpentry works for now. Fixture doesn't takes much time or making the whole place messy and dirty, so might go source for 1 again after CNY. See how's my bonus this year... My block: 27B Question: Where did you get a $2K Tempur bed! That's a good deal!

Solid top, don't like the granite. No worry, I will share as much info as you want, just don't ask how much I earn each month. Hahaha Yah, imagine your unit number appeared in the lift and people start knocking on your door... I'm fine with people looking at it, but don't think i want that when i move in... privacy... Oh, we changed the cabinet color, no more white... will show you the picture once the carpentry is done. I thought of hacking the kitchen wall too, but because of the power supply breaker that is embedded inside the wall and cannot be shifted... !! Personally I like big big living hall, that's why I never thought of boxing it to a study area. Even if HDB partition it, I believe I will hack it away...

Nah, visited sites at Commonwealth. 1 of which is not his project, but since it comes from the same carpenter, so no harm in taking a look at the workmanship. Good question! Intially quoted 29ft run when my kitchen stretch from 1 end to the other, but now probably it got shorten by 3-4ft. Better ask my ID tomorrow...

Yet another shameless couple who wants to join in the fun, could we?

Haha, we are going to light up an upright piano instead of sushi...

@1st day of carpentry works@ Wow, bedroom wardrobe done! Shoe rack in progress... Gosh, they got the color wrong!!! The carpenter is patiently explained to me about the miscommunication and rest assure me that the correct color will be replace with no visible evidence. One of the reason for choosing HG is their carpentry, i visited 2 of their sites and really thumbs up for their workmanship. The other 2 bedrooms with lightings only: Cosy corner with a cosy light: Kitchen: Carpentry starts tomorrow... Toilet lighting: Unless you want to see the bowls... Pardon me for the low picture qualities... I will bring my "real" camera to shoot again over the weekend.

Jee Hoe. An ID who will listen to you and provides constructive advices. Too bad i got tight budget, else will buy all his ideas... haha Haha, that's true but we think it looks like a maze. ID called to inform that they have started to fix the bedroom wardrobe, time to go over to snap some pictures...

Hi hi neighbour. Yeah, i really like the spacious living room. Disappointment is on the bedroom size... and i got a KING size bed

More "realistic" feel designs: Final layout is slightly defer from what you see here (no more red!) At last, capentry works going to start this week, hopefully can make it for CNY. Time to start (maybe this weekend) taking pictures and post the real stuff...
-
Yes, indeed expensive, 2 pieces of tempered glass cost $784. Wanted to add the kitchen glass door, but was quoted $1.2K, so decide to go out and source after CNY. Let me know if anyone got lobang... hehehe

HomeGuide. These are the initial drawings gotten from my ID, too artistic i found... Will be uploading some tomorrow that will is more realistic.

Having waited and participated 10 HDB exercises, we finally have a home of our own. First ID impression... Living room: Kitchen:

I wonder if concrete support sink is approved by HDB since concrete is heavy?
-
You want to try master You Long Zi at guillemard road (opp of Kong Hwa School)? If not, wayonnet.
-
No idea... You should just give your window dimension to the AirCon supplier and see what they say. It's been very long since my last post... Happy New Year to All! I think City Gas Gallery is offering quite a good price for hob and hood... Rinnai RB-3SS (GB) - $413 Rinnai RH-90ERi - $243

Thanks xlan, your list looks more than ours but ours is 24k+. I will share with you my list when i get home tonight.
-
xlan, i'm also considering HomeGuide for reno, care to share the quotation? Yes, collecting on Tuesday. Been to the expo and check on Citydesign and ******, anyone heard about or have experience with them?
-
Usually they term both as 1, haulage + sand. ID can't charge you because this is paid to the main constructor appointed by HDB. ID will probably give you a discount or waive off the haulage charge, but of course they have to earn enough from your reno. And you will get a receipt if you pay to HDB via your ID or yourself. 132 too! !!
-
With respect to haulage and sand, this is what I understand from the IDs. For new HDB flat, there will be a HDB appointed haulage and sand contractor, and the haulage fee is paid to the appointed contractor via your IDs. Few months back the haulage fee is $1000, not sure what's the current price now. I think the IDs will definitely earn more than enough to absorb or give discount on the haulage fee.

5-roomer. Nah, not high floor, cause my queue number not that small.
