Hello All, Trying to find out from those of you with installed window grilles as per the design from my photo. This should be one of the most common design as well for HDB/Condo. I found that there can be different variations for the spacing and contractor/installer will seldom or never talked about it during quotation. What are all your grilles spacing? For potential owners who planned to install, this must be taken note especially when getting different pricing on quotations. Big big spacing but cheap! Or smaller spacing but slightly more expensive. You pay what you get!

Unless you stay in landed private house, else consider impossible for a single king size divan to up the lift or stair. You are sleeping on the mattress, how come will miscomfort? Maybe you consider to nail the 2 single bed togther not difficult at all.

See which one you like better. My experience with h@@@2b@ is that their salemans(been to sungei kaudut and paya lebar branch) are very pushy. They like to use "discount valid only today" tactics to physco you into buying. I think the salesman are not very honest as well. To share what happened: One of the saleman told me $599 for a set of tv console and the price tag was there on the table top. Then another weekend I went down to confirm buying, but original salesman on offday so serve by another fellow who told me "huh? $599??? The tv console is 2 piece material which is $599 x 2 = $1188!" I was pissed off and went back thinking to come back again to find the 1st saleman. Again 3rd week i went back and serve by 1st saleman but he "oh ya the price is $1188....hmm but if you want i can check with boss for you...ok $800 you want?" ....... but still worst of all salesman I encounter was from the expo exhibition from acker@@@smith. **** jialet keep on grabbing my hand and pester me to buy $4000 matteress and don't let me go. Finally cannot tahan I shouted loudly "get lost you begger!" and he was shocked and immediately sorry all the way to me. Make him **** malu. oops..type too long here

Suggest you to do back solid wall instead of gysum board wall, since price different not a lot. Recently I had a wall for my house too and it cost around 1k with wooden door frame....door depend on what you want.

The Ceiling Fan Debate
chlow replied to reload72's topic in RENOVATION IDEAS: Interior Design Themes, Space Planning
When searching for ceiling fan can also look out on the direction and spread of the wind flow which is of top priority to me. Some fans only blow directly downwards, you only feel wind when below the fan. Some can spread slightly sideway...you can feel below and maybe a few feet away. Some spread very far away, you can feel the wind really circulating around - my favourite Of cos all is only on the fan and blades design but should not be miss out when buying. -
SS ONLY for me. I never compromise SS for any others.

My personnal opinion of water heater.. REDRING brand the best, current house using daily since 1990. VIVA brand also known to be very lasting. Lasting heater are generally very simple in design with good material inside. >standard 2x heating element >full copper >non circuit board for control, led light only is ok Most of those modern heater are circuit board control and mostly not full copper, that's why not so lasting i think..

Tridonic Atco or in short Atco is from Australia and not Germany as you mentioned. It is definitely one of the best or even the ballast. -

Air-con: System 3 Or 4 ?
chlow replied to Cheerful's topic in Renovation Contractors, Interior Designers & Suppliers Reviews
Go for a System 3 + System 2. System 3 you can look for a unit which cannot supply more BTU to master room or any higher end compressor which can supply higher BTU to all fan coil unit. A normal HDB room average about 900 if i am not wrong. System 2 for your living dining. Don't just look at mitsubishi alone.........there are many more out there. You are buying air-con, not paying for advertisment cost. -
Do you know the contractor? Or are you a friend or relative of the contractor? How about changing the tiles around that area like making some 2 tone floor color design? In overall, everytime when doing flooring always need to keep some tiles for backup use.

Fishes, plants or snails can never helps prevent algae from growing. If you do not keep any living things inside, go for chlorine block. One piece can last you for months without algae.
