Hey over this forum, there are contractors and id searching and looking at the thread. How to pin point who are contractors?

Relax guy, lets move on. There are hundreds of contractors and Id. Take it as a painful lesson. Cheer up!

Yes if you everynite on air con, then by all means. If you seldom on and only on the air con once in the blue moon, might as well take 1 or 2 split units. So next time you want to have extra air con, buy 2 split unit again. Means 4 units = 2 compressors.

Hi Cindy One contractor told me if want air con, go for gain city as they are cheap. Rather than ask the contractor to source for us cos' gain city installation is cheaper. And he can supervise the gain city man while installing the air con.

It really depend on what you want to do for your house. And whether you are in 3, 4 or 5 room unit. Maybe you can stated what you want and we might help you.

I dont think so. 1 contractor quote $650 for window grill (living and 3 bedrooms), exclude toilet.

Hi NEM Ok...this sat going down to requote and see their worksmanship...(tanglin halt), Will let you know. But mine is more towards contractor....not those famous id design.

I prefer sink and stove and chopping concrete...more lasting compare to wooden cabinet. Thought not much a design...but it is lasting...you wont scare whole cabinet collapsed!

Yeah....initially I also blur blur went to home expo and talk to those id, get their quotation and still blur blur as dont know is it expensive or not. After some time when we really settle down and begin to think hard and also see blk25a renovating, we came to a conclusion that we really dont need the design nor features wall afterall. We will fee sian if everyday see the design. Then we decided to zoom in to contractors and those not so famous id...and their quote drop by about $5k+++! If you talke away all the unnecessary carpentary works, you really can save alot. Then by using the extra money, can buy expensive items like sofa, bed or kitchen accessories. And play around with the sofa and tv console. It will also make your house nice, simple and cozy.

Hi APPLE Yes I saw your cabinet! I will go for this, white and black or white and light blue or white and light green or white and light yellow.... APPLE, so TAK is a glossy laminated materials that comes with many many colours? I visited few contractors and so far they just say laminated with abs trimming....also saw many display (laminated cards), lots of them. I went to my neighbour unit, their cabinet is non glossy and the surface got tiny lines, I dont know what type of laminate is that.

Yes I think many units go for china granite...they wont mind pay a few thousand more. But the choice is limited. For 4 room, it is better to have a lighter or brighter colour than dark colours. Brighter colour will make the living room looks bigger and spacious. We will not feel being trap in the small unit.

What is TAK? A kind of laminating surface? Is that expensive? Plse advice and thks.

No quart also have. Yes more X lah....me also tight budget...might go for granite...also confuse, Me might go for granite for easy maintain. So, I am a lazy type of person, so mop and clean once a week. Granite hard to see dust!

Yes I agreed with you about mopping, water hard to dry up... But granite is easy to mop...homo tiles hard to mop.... Parquet cannot mop wet right?

That is why another option is to go for compress stone. Compress stone is also very durable and solid....

Grainte has those white without dark tone: paper white, pink white, pearl white. Cost is about $11.50 psf (I think so lah), but then one contractor told me no more stock in spore!! China granite (with black spot) cost about $3.50 psf. Most of the units are using those tiles. My mum also said that. Homo tiles easily oily if lots of pple come to visit you. That is why she strongly against using homo tiles.

Thks again BINZZ... 1 contractor have the compress stone tiles , cost about $11.80 psf (I think so), but worksmanship is (as stated by the forumer)...no choice have to let him go. That is why before confirming, I must make sure they do have certain tiles which I want. eg) samples of compress stones and certain type of granites.
