You are right. Never rush thru your renovation process especially in the initially stage where lots of confirmation between you and your id/contractors involved. Ask, ask and ask. Never assume your id/contractor know what you are thinking about. Always assume your id/contractor dont know what you are thinking about. Any doubts, ask ask ask, be it minor or major. Dont asume id/contractors knows everything. Even you engaged ID, you still need to check and see. Any doubts or not happy, immediately clarify and not keep quiet and wait for them to clarify. Must be thick skin a bit. Ask ask ask even though your questions are silly or stu.pid.

Also, I read online about fs and 1 point that tell the owners is that the house MUST BE CLUTTER FREE, KITCHEN MUST BE CLEAN AND NEAT. HOUSE MUST BE BRIGHT, FOYER (MAIN DOOR) LIGHT MUST SWTICH ON TO MAKE IT BRIGHT AT YOUR INSIDE THE MAIN DOOR AREA. Am I right to say that? Also make sure no outsiders follow you in. You as the 1st owners go in, of course if your parents or siblings follow, it is ok. But no strangers. When open the door and say good things liao, do not step inside first, roll a pineapple into your living room and shout HUAT ah!!! Then go in splinking salts, beans and rices all over the places by saying you are the owners, plse go away, also say good things too. hapy

Hello DEAN It really depends on individual. Just like my mum's new house, we have the alter table, we order and shift the alter table in BUT put it in such a way that it is no alignment. On the good day, bring in our guan yin but before reaching the main door, I think need to pray the sky then open the door, move in backwards with your face and you carry guan yin facing outward. Move in slowly in case you trip lah. Then shift the alter table nicely and put the GuanYin for 3 days (lock of door for 3 days). If you have ancestors tablet, after 3 days, bring it in. Sound silly? I dont know. Just follow from advise. No harm lah.

Did you do a shower screen? Sorry lah...eye not that good liao. If not, you may buy a metal rod and ask Tony to drill for you to hang shoer curtain. The metal rods comes that can be unscrew to take out the metal rod. Tony knows as he did for my home.

One thing for sure is the cabinet materials. All using the same material. 3 layer wood. The only different is the worksmanship.

Hi POUL Forumers can recommend you their id/contractors as a referral. But you still need to do a bit of homework. Example, Sourcing for quotations, write down in spreadsheet and compare, apples vs apples, if possible, write down per feet cost, psf cost, etc..... Then, you need to see their showflats to get the feel of their worksmanship. Ask as many questions as possible. Dont take things for granted. (dont assume the id/contractors knows what you want). Always assume your id/contractor doesnt know what you want. Lastly, take your time to source for a good id/contractor. DO NOT RUSH! HAPPY
