i don't believe it :wub: how can the painter choose colour for you???? it's definitely not acceptable guess there's nothing much you can do except hold the remaining 5% and demand that everything be rectified to your satisfaction before paying them :notti: yes, and i am getting so sick of waiting and waiting. today they came to rectify my larder but guess what? they installed the pull out baskets for me and it cannot pull out properly BECAUSE the larder itself is too small! Lets see what will they do.... sigh. Also, the painter is not coming back anymore. He left all the extra paint in a small container for us.... to diy.

Thanks, my id never give me a completion date. What should i do? we have been waiting waiting and waiting and everytime i call to ask, he will give me a non-specific date for the various works. For example, our kitchen cabinet needs some changes but its been 2 weeks and all my id can say when i call him is.... we try la, by next week. And when i ask, when can mirror be up? He will say oh, wait for the carpentry wood backing to be settled first then i can advise. I am really very sad that they dont seem very professional abt completion of the reno. Their cabinet workmanship also very lousy with a rather big gap between laminates corner. The painter who my id appointed came also not professional. Did not touch up those with huge holes at the switch socket etc. In the end, we bought the putty, fill up the holes and paint ourself. Its like 20 over holes and since we are not experts, we took a long time to do it. A bangladesh painter also came and he did not do a good job in painting and scraping off uneven surface. More importantly, we chose color for main door and grilles but in the end, color painted is different. when i ask my id, he say, oh, the painter felt that the color the painter chose is nicer so he just took his own initiative and paint for me leh. Is this acceptable? I dont like the color he chose anyway. Help! I've paid my id 95% already. What should i do now???

Hi applefreak... i am very very busy. i have shifted into my new place and doing renovation at the same time. my id is giving me headache daily. his contractors r really terrible! they have no time sense, appt between 1 to 4, they arrive at 7. it is not only on 1 occasion. Many times like tat already. worse of all, ask them call 1 hr b4 coming, they cant seem to do tat? contractors do things slipshod! leave things done halfway, put their barang barang (which can fill 1/2 of my balcony) which they promise to remove it the very next day at 9am, but guess what, always nobody turn up to remove. we have to call id who always dont answer call n dont return miss call. in the end, they clear their barang barang 2 days later after we threaten to throw them at the corridor! Worse of all is.... their contractors always fly kite! promise to come but never turn up! id never bother to call us. we have to call him n ask wat time contractor coming and in the end, his reply would be, oh its raining so they cannot come. when i request for them to come the next day, he would say, oh their timing already fixed for the next few days so can reschedule sometime later only. wat is this man? Result------ now, i am staying here and reno is half done! sigh. i am going to put up pictures now... n tell me what should i do? the contractors who did the laminate platform scratched the winnie the pooh wall covering !

Did you engage painting services? From where? how much does it cost to paint whole house? 4 colors + 1 white? how about if i wish to paint another color for celing instead of white? my id quoted me $1350 for 4 color plus 1 additional color (nt white) for ceiling.

Help! We were are in urgent need of contractor to help us in fabricating and installing kitchen cabinets, feature wall, partition wall etc... Anyone noes of a reliable contractor? pls provide contact no? Preferably direct contact with contractor and no via 3rd party.... like Id etc. We originally engaged the help of an Id but got played out... now we need the carpentry to be done urgently.
