My mom also the Queen of her kitchen, everything I do, she also say 'this-this way is better'. I tried to do some cosplay costume 2 years ago, but because she had been sewing all her life, she felt she is more qualified to AMEND my stuff. Problem is, some costume are done that way because that's how the character dressed. I lost count of the time she UNPICKED the stuff I sew. I had to bring all my material to work with me, just to keep her hands off them....

For me, my BTO is very near to my parents' place. So, while I am close to my parents, I desperately want a place of my own. My mom never understood the meaning of a locked door. I lock my room's door, she's open it with the key whenever she liked. And that really, really bothers me.

I think if the mechanism is good, it shouldn't be too much trouble. I so excited for you lor. Mine also dunno when I can move in. I have been waiting for this day since I was in my 20s.

Same here. I don't really use air con, my parents' place don't have air con, I'm used to using a fan. It's funny, but I don't really like a ceiling fan either. Probably also because I like the flexibility of a floor fan. My layout is similar to you, and yes, I already posted my video of how I want to use the murphybed/hiddenbed design.

I am also thinking of doing that for my bedroom, so that during the day, I can keep the door closed, and keep the kitties in one room. But really depend on how big my room is.

We all can't enjoy it, but I think other singles would be happy to get any help they can. But I think, usually, when you reach the age of 35 (the age where singles are eligible to buy), you'd have accumulate a bit of CPF, and also your pay-wise, whouldn't be too shabby. So I reckon most of the singles would be out of the income cap for the grants.

the 37 sqm type only have a full panel wall, which can be pushed aside, to connect the living room to the bedroom. 47 sqm type have the solid wall between the two rooms.

That one is wall between the bedroom and living room, so it's the 47 sqm type. They are all quite small. For ours, it's the same module as the ones used for 4-room and 5-room, for the living room and the bedroom. So your toilet window is opposite the toilet bowl? Mine is supposed to be above the toilet bowl.

Should be, like the toilet bowl is top right corner of the toilet layout. But what I meant is the drawing isn't the exact distance from the toilet to the wall, because based on my layout, I think the toilet bowl is nearly 90+ cm away from the side of the toilet wall.. seemed like quite a bit of space wasted in that corner. So I am hoping it wont be. That's why I need photos from you guys who have collected their keys, to try see if there is a trend? mmoh, is yours the new type, where the toilet window is the big kind?

Mine is until 11th floor, I'm on that top floor. I think the toilet and basin should be in the same layout. But I am thinking the exact position might not be like the one in the layout

I had thought about swopping the living room with the bedroom, but I thought that might be too radical, and people would have to go through my bedroom to go to the living room. Also had a thought to change the kitchen to be multi-functional. Like those Hafele videos, hide the kitchen cabinets behind panels, and let it also become a study room. But I don't think my little kitchen have space.

Mine is supposed to be Q2 2017, but I am hoping it'll be earlier!! That's why I opt to not have the basin, cos I know I will be repositioning it. But $6k seemed like daylight robbery lor. I want to come!!
