  1. that's very helpful. The concealment is what I thought it would be, just not sure blandness wires can fit through the swivel bit at the bottom.Your plans is giving me an inspiration to have that in my future forever home! Can you PM your ID to me, I'm collecting good ID / contractors, like squirrel collecting nuts!
  2. Hi MsBunny! Welcome to the 2-roomer family! Your flat's layout is interesting, like a boomerang. For a moment, I thought yours is private condo, cos I've never seen that layout before. it would probably make renovations complicated? I hope you foot is much better now, that injury looks a bit scary!
  3. Hmmmm.... Mine is 2.25m x 2.2m... does that mean I have space to put a bathtub in?!?! :notti: The sitting soaking kind, I see on Taobao, can be 1.2m x 0.7m. I really want a bathtub
  4. You can go to www.ownhome.sg they take photos of the project progress about once a month. The areas in the North are usually updated on the third week of the month.
  5. I just realised based on my floor plan, my living room is smaller, but my toilet is bigger? My toilet is 2.25m x 2.20m
  6. I think that is not really possible. From what I remember of our HDB bedroom dimension, you may put a queen size bed, but you will end up with quite a small space around to walk in. So according to the plans in there, the bed/platform is 1.8m. According to my floor plan, it is about 3.2m x 3.2m, you'll end up with a spacing of 1.4m. I dunno if it'll end up making your room feel rather closed in?
  7. Any more updates? I am so eager to see other people's reno, cos mine is still so slow! Can I request for you lucky people who have gotten your flats, to post pics of the toilet (the ones with the 2 doors). I am having problem visualising, and not sure if the HDB showflat one can believe or not. I have a tiny dream of fitting a bath-tub, the wooden kind in the bathroom, but I have no idea how to position it, with the 2 doors in opposite sides
  8. Love your beautiful place, and all the DIY projects. The kitchen look so cosy! *envious*
  9. Collecting your keys next week?!? Can't wait to see how your nest will transform. Mine still building floors, I dunno when will be my turn
  10. I really like the look of the subway tiles in the kitchen. This is what I'd want for my kitchen too Can I have your contractor's contact, please?
  11. Really like how the tempered glass back splash look! Might consider doing that too... though I am worried about getting water behind the glass
  12. I like the idea to have a pull out mirror! Place looking good
  13. Sorry to hear that you had such a bad experience. Can I have the reno ID so that I know who to avoid? Thanks
  14. I really like the revolving TV wall. So cool! But I am curious about how to conceal the tv wires.
  15. T-blog are threads people started, sharing their renovation journey. Go and read them, they are very useful, for ideas and also learn from their experiences.
  16. hi crownprince, can I get the contacts for your contractor? I am also sourcing for contractors for my BTO reno. Mine only 2-room, and I know exactly what I want, so I am hoping to 'collect' contractor contacts
  17. Love your house view! So lucky! And dun complain about your place being small lor, mine is 2-room, 47 sqm... bo bian, single mah. I want WIW also no place to put. Can't wait to see how your place would turn out
  18. I have been waiting for this for such a long time! Wanted to get my own place even before I reached 35. Nearly put the downpayment for a condo in Little India area. last minute backed out, because I thought the place wasn't really designed very well. That 1-bedroom place cost $415k then, now you can't even get a 1-bedroom for less than 600k. I just want a place I can call my own, and when I close the doors, I can shut the world outside. Wishing that my place build faster leh.
  19. Hahahaha... you not as KS as me lor. I spoke to a couple of those ID soon after I paid the downpayment. That time, they haven't even done the foundation yet. Do start a t-blog when your reno journey starts. Us 2-room BTO people should be represented too!
  20. Mine still building floors, not even near finished, can't ask contractor. Still looking and trying to get ideas. But I think I've already settled on the rough overview. I know what I want, and I also started on some stuff that needs a lot of prep.

  22. Just wondering, does any of you know, if you want to change the tiles in the toilet, do we just overlay on top of the tiles?
