Hi Jazzpop, Oh! The FSM mentioned that XXXXXXXXXXX will happen to my frds and the flat is totally unsuitable for them. I can't mention the details because it may not be too nice to my frd if I tell eveyone about it. Yes. FSM did help to counter the bad fengshui of the flat but my frd has decide to move out after 5 years due to the FSM's remark. So, I think it is really up to the individual's belief . Hi, An ID quoted me island kitchen cabinet and top. What is island kitchen ? Yup. So I drop the idea of having a FSM. Breakfast counter - I was wondering if it is suitable cause the we will see the chair when we open our main door. Will it block the way ? Also, in fengshui, one should not see the dining table when we open the main door.

There is a FSM who has done the FS for my colleague. My colleague looks good and highly recommend him to me. There is another frd who went to see this FSM. This FSM is like an ID because he drew out the layout of the furnitures location , colour of the wall & floor , hacking of wall, location of . . . . . <In simple - V. detailed> BUT .... The colour combination that he choosen does not really appeal to me and gave 100% negative remark about this new flat. Well, my frd has totally followed the FSM's advice. OMG !

Hi jasch & xlan, I have a dog <It belongs to my FIL> and 2 big fish tanks now but I will not be bringing to the new home because I am doing laminated for the whole flat. Dog - > Leave it in the kitchen as what my frd is doing. My hubby said that I can only buy a dog after 5 years as he does not want to spolit the laminated flooring. Can I come over to see the doggies when I move to JM. I want a doggie and I am going to miss my fish.

LWT is mainly doing renovation for resale flat. If u are getting a renovation for new flat, then he might not be so keen. I have talked to Mr K. from Clementi branch who seems to be a nice guy and frankly told me that they seldom do new flat renovation. But he did spend some time talking to me and taught me a few renovation tips. Price is quite friendly and design is so so lah. But I dun go for good design because i am doing the design myself. I will keep you guys/gals update after I bring my hubby down for a review on the material and firm quotation. Cheers, Monkeybone

Btw, any one familiar with laminated flooring? There are so many range. My ID said it won't last for those lower range. I am quite headache about this. If go for higher range, I may hv to top up another $1000 for it. Sigh... Hi Dorcas, I have shortlised 2 laminated flooring co. Hi All, This is information I got after calling HDB and A.R. town council and after talking to a contractor. 1. Cement screeding can only be apply via a form and you need to hand to your town council. 2. You are only allowed to apply for it after you get the keys. 3. They will take 3 weeks to process your application so mostly the HDB contractor will arrive on the 3rd/ 4th week after your application. 4. Cement screeding will take about 3 days to be done and dry. 5. The workmanship is not good so it will be better that someone<Prefer to be a guy> oversee their work. 6. Make sure that the floor is done evenly so that you will not get an uneven floor for your laminated floor. Uneven floor will create sound for your laminated flooring and may even cause it to crack if the 'lobang' is big. Best Regards, Monkeybone

For me, I always use a mop to clean the kitchen floor and only splash water to clean the floor once in a blue moon.
