Getting a 4 rm BTO that needs minimal renovation. Getting flat possibly in July Tiling (since didnt get from HDB) 90sqm Kitchen Cabinet (I have noticed some online packages $4000++ with hood,hob,iquartz etc) Plumbing and Electrical (if needed) Pretty simple. Worth it engaging a contractor or possibly just get a tiler to tile and get a kitchen cabinet package? Any tilers here can quote?

Tell me about it. Packages are very misleading. I knew it before i even started looking for contractors/IDs but I didnt know the extent to which they were. From 12k-20k in package price to 30k-50k in actual reno prices. You cant blame them though, part of businesses I suppose. There are those who claim they are more transparent with their prices though. I tend not to meet them without getting a preliminary quote because I tell them upfront, itll be pointless if you are not within my range. Anyways, can i have the contact of your contractor? Ive found 1 so far having discussed this with many.The one wants to see my place before confirming though. He speaks only Chinese. So until I get my keys, I wont have an exact quote but I have been recommended by friends so ill give it a shot. But I guess I have to wait till I get my keys..apparently no GST and no design charges, no rubbish/unnecessary charges.. I will be getting my keys in early Feb. The entire renovation process should be done by early May. I also have my mothers BTO flat that I want to do BASIC renovation (tiling, doors, painting, basic kitchen cabinet). So basically 2 jobs. My mothers flat will come in 2nd quarter next year. I have got quotes from several IDs. I still think they are on the higher side. I think it will be easier if I specify exactly what i want so contractors can quote me. Only looking at contractors. HDB registered and provide warranty 2 years. The resale flat I bought is in Tampines. 4rm, 102sqm. I will need the following services. Doesn't have to an ID per se. If contactirs do a great job recommend me those I'm fine. I have concepts in my mind so don't need that, just a contractor with good workmanship and good attitude
