Hi, I haven't start reno, so can't help you. My ID charged a lump sum for kitchen cabinet, and we didn't negotiate with him how many ft in total, just see the drawings got top and bottom looked ok, so we didn't ask. Maybe we too "relax" with my ID liao.

Saw xlan has an extended wall at the closing end. My ID designed something like that too, then hor, still charge me so much for a "smaller" glass door. Will talk to him about this...

Looks like modern theme ba, white black silver, just that you have more white than black. Thanks for the sliding door pic! My ID quote a small kitchen glass door for $1200, so now I can tell him it's possible to do a door that stretch to wall end ;P

Hi Binzz Nice carpentry you have! I must say your ID is generous with materials and your money is very well spent, can see all the things and design. I mean, there are some designs that we can't even tell where the money goes to right. Just curious, no shoe cabinet? Looks like you have a spacious sliding kitchen door. Did you have to shift the power switches on that wall to allow the door to slide?

I'm getting sliding door too. One ID said, just fix a door stopper (a round rubber thing) on the floor to stop the main door before it hits the glass door Quoted about $1100 for sliding door + a fixed panel. Swing door + fixed panel about $700.
