  1. After receiving and comparing 6 quotes and visiting 3 firms, we decided with Dennis Tan from 3D Innovative. He is down to earth, not the atas type and tried very hard to match our budget. Certainly gives honest advise on what we can/cannot add and what are the must-haves we cannot avoid paying for. Dennis has made effort to coordinate the installation of city gas pipes, air-con pipes and he also took us to buy lights and sinks, taps etc. He knows the market well and will ensures we do not get 'cheated' by others. We know for sure because even though he may bring us to his regular shops, he will recommend us to purchase from other stores if it is cheaper (and his contacts still can't match). How's that for openness and honesty!?? The 3D drawings turned out even better than expected and we used it as an inspiration to purchase the lights and wallpaper! Seriously I doubt any IDs/Contractors will take us shopping and spend a full day with us! I hope he still makes time for our house as I am so afraid he will get busier after we write about him LOL!!
  2. Hihi Got a quote with Kane Lim (registered online and received endless phone calls) and finally went to their Yishun office. Kane is very patient and has many years of experience (but cannot multi-task LOL while typing we asked him questions, then he stopped to answer us before resuming his typing again) Noticed a few things cheap things about them; but cheap doesn't mean good right? So far haven't found any reviews on their workmanship other than pics on their own website. Charging $90/ft for solid top, $95/ft for granite & $110/$130/$165/ft for iQuartz (luckily the iQuartz colour I like is in the $110 range) - outside is usually $90/ft for solid and $130/ft for granite/iQuartz (all selections).Kitchen cabinets - outside around $120/ft, they are giving $115/ft.Asked for a full-length mirror inside my swingdoor wardrobe - it's FOC! (outside quoting me around $300-$400)Mitsubishi Heavy Industrial system 3 @ $3000 (heard Mitsubishi Electric is comparable and outside prices is $3300-$3450)Asked for 4ft X 6ft mirror in the living room, price @ $460 (others quoting @ $800-$900)Any advise? Are they a Contractor or ID? Cheap means poor quality and workmanship? Is it risky if we pick Le Posh?
