Hi Just saw this question. I bought the washer in 2008. Repaired at least 5 to 6 times. Even now it's still having issue. I am actually in the midst of looking for a replacement set, hence the reason I came to visit Renotalk again. The repairman told me this model had lots of issue. A few times spoilt due to electronic board. Once due to belt. Now the washer always trip my electricity.

Strange ! How come he can sell since base on my deduction, the official date should be 2nd July 2011. Maybe he got the deposit for the options but Sales Agreement not sign yet.

Making guest appearance here again. The date I can official sell is 3rd July 2011. Yeah I chose my SERS flat on 02/07/2004, so the earliest date that other people can sell is 02/07/2011. BTW I do not have the intention to sell now as I have great neighbours. Anyway I will be very interested to know what will the value of our flat be when transaction starts. I can only think of PD Door which I used it for my toilet entrance. But I'm not sure if it's right for use in the kitchen as it's rather flimsy. So far I have used it for 2.5 yrs and it's ok. -
Bought a black leather sofa from Casa Italy a few weeks back. Delivery was supposed to be 8th July but they called up beginning of the week to let me know there is a delay and delivery will change to 9th July. Came as promised on 9th July at the stated time and they called me before hand to confirm. Delivery is outsourced to contractor. Sofa came in good condition except for some small words written in silver marker on the leather. Told the delivery guy to remove it, which he promptly did. He told me he will start charging Casa Italy for the service as it has happened a few times. So be on the lookout for any writings in future.

Instead of looking at bi-fold door, you might want to look at PD door. But cost will be double. PD door advantages - slide & open, better design, no bottom track, less wear and tear. I am using for 2 1/2 year already, still in good condition.

If no budget constraint, of course having day and night curtain for hall and master bedroom is great. If have budget constraint, then just put in day and night curtain for master bedroom. Then get the hall curtain railing up first. You can put up the the hall curtain later if needed. I have day and night curtain for hall and master bedroom but only use in the bedroom. I took down the night curtain in the hall and the day curtain is only for show. I don't have sunlight coming in to my hall as there is a shade just outside my window.

Well, seems like a few people has the same problem with FC leather sofa flaking after a few years. FC_Homes seems to have disappeared from this forum.

I would say that buying a good tap is important, especially if you need to use it everyday. Due to budget constrain, I purchased most of my accessories cheaply. I had to replace my kitchen tap and one bathroom tap after slightly over a year. So my advance, if you plan to stay in your house for a long time, then invest on a good tap. If you are renting out or planning to sell after two to three years, then don't spend on such good taps.

No, I didn't say the warranty for my leather sofa is 2 years. I can't remember how long is the warranty. I am just sharing that my leather started flaking after 2 years. In fact, I just went to the other thread and saw a few forummers sharing similar experience to mine.

I am so surprise I have similar problems as a few forummers ! My leather sofa set also has flaking problem after two years. Does it mean they are not using good leather ? I have a friend who is still using his leather sofa with no problem after 10 years. Come on FC, how to explain the flaking issue ?

Let me share my experience as a customer of FC (IMM) back in Dec 07. I bought my sofa L802-2B (item no. F06-05D) - thick leather sofa set delivered on 25/01/08 for about $2.6K. I was told it's in very good cowhide leather sofa and because I have kids, they told me they would make the seating cushion firmer. I liked my sofa and enjoyed sitting on it for the past two years. About three months back, the sofa started to flake and it has been flaking (small particles of leather peeling off) non stop ever since. Today I went to another furniture shop at Woodlands Civic center and I started talking to a salesman about leather sofas. Without me telling him my current problem, he told me there is a type of half leather that is of not so good quality that will start flaking after two years of usage. Bingo! He was describing a problem to me that matches what I am actually facing. To me, FC salesman Leslie didn't tell me the truth when he sold me the sofa. I am very disappointed with them and feel cheated. A leather sofa is suppose to last at least 5 years and now 2 years on, I have to start shopping for a new sofa again. Mind you, my leather is not PVC or PU leather, it's cowhide leather. Not sure if I call FC Homes, whether he will give me a proper explanation.

Not sure if you are looking for this answer. If u already owned a SERS annouced flat, the govt will compensate u the market rate of your flat plus a $30k discount from your new replacement flat. That will be considered your 1st time purchase from HDB. -
Hi all Firstly !! Hopefully all neighbours will have a great 2010 year !! I just received a letter from HDB they are "conducting a survey to gather feedback from residents whose precincts have undergone the SERS." "The purpose of the survey are to find out residents' perception on SERS, their satisfaction level with physical living enviroment and social living experience after they have moved into their SERS flt. You are among the 800 residents selected to particpate in this survey." Anyone got this letter as well ? Anything u want me to highlight ? I will feedback about unwelcome characters at the garden, the pranks of stolen shoes.

Prices will only go up (I agree as well) due to following factors. - number of new citizens & PRs in 2008 - 20,513 & 79,167 respectively - they can't buy new flats, only from resale market - no new ready to move in flats after the last balloting exercise. From now on, new flats are BTO which takes at least 3.5 yrs to build. Those who needs it urgently must get from resale mkt - Scarcity of land in S'pore - stable govt resulting in foreigners willing to pay a premium alto they can get it 10 times cheaper across the causeway - ready pool of buyers - indonesian, malaysian, china chinese and India indians - HDB flats will reach $1mil, particularly flats at Pinnacle @ Duxton. "Similarily The Peak at Toa Payoh" (this one added by me) - govt will not allow property prices to fall substantially. This is to give confidence to foreign investors So there, most of us in Blk 79 are at least half a millionaire now or in future. Congrats !!
