hi neighbours, haven't logon for a long time. busy with work, CNY, ROM shopping, reno shopping etc. this thread is defintely moving fast. just came back from JM after meeting with my ID. i'll be starting my reno coming tuesday. the wall between my bedrooms will be the first to go. our neighbourhood is getting more n more happening. ate at the coffee shop just now. they were having lion and dragon dance. there will be another coffee shop at the other corner, opening mid march. there will be the famous ex blk 29 tze char stall. more choices for all of us. yummy. btw gong xi fa cai to all.

hai... i have not so much complain abt the workmanship, can give and take. the thing i cannot stomach is the lousy design sense of the architect. beams and columns everywhere, both water outlets in kitchen sitting side by side, etc. bcos of this, i have to give up my plan to install sliding glass door at kitchen entrance. (mine is 3 rm and it's different from some of yours.) but got to be happy with a new flat in a prime location lah. but occasionally still got to rant at HDB a bit.

YEAH! finally collected our keys today. a few things for those who have yet to collect keys to take note of: 1) if u r desperate to collect keys, u can go earlier than your appointment time. i was there an hour early. but was served within 10 min. after signing tons of papers and making some payments, everything was done and dusted in 30 min. 2) go open your letter box first. there are many stuff inside. gas pipe plan, tv cables, a 'key' to turn on your water supply etc. 3) your electrical plan is inside the main circuit breaker box. ps: found no major defects yet but hate HDB design. so many beams around the house.

hi, inset or overmount is where the sink rest on top of the counter top then seal with sealant. undermount is where the sink rest on your capentary, seal and then the counter top is laid over. dunno whether u understand anot. !! con of undermount is that if u gonna replace the sink, u have to replace the counter top too. but how often do u change sink, probably not. undermount looks sleeker - personal view. !!

hi, dun think 订盟 is ROM lor. guess it's business related e.g. alliance, partnership etc. more appropriate would be "jia(4) qu(3)". (how to type in chinese btw???) but then all these are in the olden context when ROM is not existence. so really up to individual. if you want to feel "an(1) xin(1)", just chose a generic good day lor. BTW i have not visited your house!

hi, their showroom is at UE Square, 83 Clemenceau Ave. i bought the microwave + conventional 2-in-1 combi oven. cost me $1480 after 20% discount during the recent sale. no choice got a small kitchen and don't think i have space for a microwave and oven separately. Finally after donkey months, my status change to "HDB will invite you to collect keys to your replacement flat in due course." Means I'll be getting my my keys soon? Normally how soon will HDB contact you after the status becomes as such? Should I be calling HDB to bug them?

quite like what's on offer at v.hive. and the price is quite reasonable. u may like to check them up. if u have not been to bellari, maybe u would like to drop by. find that their sinks not bad. also teka has quite a good selection of sinks too and surprisingly, they are not too expensive especially during their sale.
