HP is 97818390. hi, you are right. we cannot hack toilet tiles for 3 years. so i did not hack my toilet tiles. i just hacked the kitchen floor tiles so that my new kitchen floor tiles will be level with my living room. my ID is n*******. i'm quite satisfied with his work and attitude so far. shall give a detail review after the reno completes. i heard the rest of the IDs like k***** also not bad. who's your ID? hi, the sofa is $1345 and the bedframe is $1180. this is after 20 % discount during their CNY sale. Today's Progress Today they have filled up the grout lines. very straight, narrow and white. They have also lay corrugated paper to protect the flooring. The new doorway to our bedroom is also up. Tiling for the one side of kitchen wall has also started. It's white tiles (again) with fine lines. Our or lu lu kitchen and toilet in preparation of the overlaying.

Hi, Thank you. The brand for the WC is Imperial and the model is Zeto. It's an Australian brand with some water saving thingy. Actually we have not heard of this brand before, so don't whether it's good or not. But we just like the look and just took the plunge. It costs $400 per piece and we bought it from a shop call Euro Classics. It's very near Lian Sin Heng. For the wash basin, the square one is $100. It's small, 40 cm x 40 cm but no choice since our toilets are so small. For the rectangular one, it's $135. your place is very nice n cosy too. altho still no chance to visit.

Some of the things that we bought yesterday..... Master bedroom & common bedroom wash basin, both from Royal Fanco. Think the brand is Crizto. Kitchen sink from Bellari. Too bad dunno have pictures of all the mixers and rain showers. Hob, Hood and Oven Our black glass hob. Our canopy hood. Our combi oven. It can microwave, grill and bake. Can't wait to whipped up a few dishes after we move in. Introducing my other half.....

Shopping Today, we went shopping along Jalan Besar and Balestier. Bought many many stuff for our new toilets and kitchen. In fact we started our spending spree many many months back. I remember that our first purchase was our mattress way back in July last year during GSS! Kiasu right? Thereafter, whenever and wherever there is sale, we will be there to see if we can pick up any bargains. So far we have already made the following purchase: 1) Sealy mattress 2) Karche steam cleaner 3) Phillips iron, deep fryer 4) WMF cutleries 5) Many bedsheet set !! 6) Plates, bowls etc 7) Lush sofa and bed frame 8) Denon home theatre system plus today's purchase of 9) WC, wash basins, taps, shower set, sink etc Wow! Didn't realised that we have already bought so many things. Will post more pictures tomorrow. Getting late now. !!

Sand Sand Everywhere Went up to our place today and found that the whole house is filled with sand! Those in the bedrooms I guess are from HDB. That means they are going to do my cement screeding finally. While those in the living room and kitchen must be from my ID. So my tiling work will also be starting. !! Bedrooms Living Room Kitchen

hi, i also dunno. my id says can. so i double check n indeed i only signed undertaking form for not hacking toilet wall n floor tiles for 3 years and HDB has approved my reno permit for the hacking. for me i cannot level the living and kitchen flooing if i do overlay bcos of the stupid bomb shelter door which is at a very low level. not such if this is just a problem for me though. maybe your unit is different.

hi neighbour, welcome. finally found someone in 3-room. which block are you in? my advise to you is to start early. give yourself lots of time so that you will not be rushed into decisions. get plently of quotes. it's easy nowadays with email. then slowly go thru their quotes. meet as many IDs/contractors as your time permit. it's a long and tedious journey. but you will feel a sense of achievement after everything is completed. !!

Actually I thought so too. But then my ID say no. So I checked the undertaking form that we signed duing key collection. It says only no hacking of toilet floor and wall for 3 years. Anyway, HDB already approved my reno permit for the hacking. So I think it's ok. Maybe HDB change their ruling recently as they know a lot of people dun like the one given by them.

H, Yah, wanted to go for the modern look. so only black, white and grey. !! As for the aircon trunking, I also dunno. I just let my ID coordinate everything. But looking at my schedule, my wet work is starting this week. So i guess the aircon will come after that. Kitchen tiles can be hacked. At first I also dunno. Thought cannot. Then my ID say only toilet floor cannot hack. So my kitchen floor is history now.

hi neighbour, hope not to late to spam here. nice selection of tiles. you consider fast already. we went to lian seng hin 3 times, spending a total of 6 hours, before finally concluding our tiles. BTW we are also relaying all our kitchen and toilet tiles. One thing you may want to take note of is that after overlaying, your kitchen floor will be higher than your living room. That is why my ID suggested to us to hack the kitchen floor instead of overlaying.

Week 1 Our reno finally started officially on the 19 Feb. The work that will be done will be hacking of the wall between the bedrooms, hacking of kitchen flooring, removing of sanitary wares n some electrical works. Wall between the bedrooms gone. Does the room looks bigger? WC and wash basin at both toilets gone. Kitchen floor hack!

Introduction I have been living in Havelock most part of my life. It is with a little sadness that I have to leave this place I have grown acustomed with. However, the good news is that I will be moving to somewhere nearby and maybe even slighly more convenient. Moreover, I will be building this new nest with the person I'm going to spend the rest of my life with. Our new home will be a humble 3-room flat at Jalan Membina. We actually started sourcing for IDs way back in July last year, hoping that we will get our keys in early Q4 07. Thereafter, many weekends were spent meeting IDs, shopping for furnitures, lightings, electrical appliances etc. Q4 07 came and gone and there were still no news of our keys. Finally, on the 10 Jan 08, we got the keys to our dream home. As it was only weeks from CNY, we decided to start our reno only after CNY. It was a good decision, as we have time to inspect the house in detail and let HDB rectify all the defects. We were lucky that there wasn't many. So on the 19 Feb 08, our reno officially started. OK, enough of words. May I present to you some pictures of our new but not completed home. The Beginning It started from this way back in 2003 .... to this in 2008. This is the block that we will be staying.

dun worry, that thing is supposed to be able to take out one. however, u may want to report if the water is flowing slowly. may be choke somewhere. u mean do u need to be around? no need. but for water u need to turn on the main tap located outside your unit. instructions can be found in the info given by SP when u open the account. there will also be instruction n a "key" to turn the tap in your letter box.

if it's balestier road, then u can try universal union. another place want to try or not? teka has a surprising variety of sinks n they are not that expensive as perceive. i tried last time n it took me 4 min. but i walk at a normal pace.
