Hi, i would like to retain my exsiting solid timber main door of a HDB 4 room flat but would like to change the lockset. Where can i buy one and is it easy to remove the old and install the new lockset? Any advice? Any shops selling cheap and reasonable lockset for main door or can i just engage a locksmith to do the above? Thanks

hi, i will be doing some minor renovation to my resale flat. Below are the following things to be done : 1. re-tiling for the 2 toilets wall and floor + WC +toilet fixtures (done by reno contractor) 2.painting for the whole house (DIY) 3.dismantling and installation of new aircon sys3 in 3 bedrooms (aircon vendor) 4.installation of lights for the whole house (done by reno contractor) 5.delivery of electrical app like wm,fridge...etc 6.delivery of furnitures like sofa,table,bed+mattress 7.chemical wash for whole house (done by reno contractor) Anyone can advice the sequence for the above mentioned? from the floor plan, how do i know which wall can't be hack? Will it look funny if im using rocker switch but not flush with the wall? Anyone got pic on this?

Yeah, thats what i wanted. My existing switches are not hidden in the wall. You can actually see the PVC trunking on the wall. i believe i will need my contractor help to hide all the cables. Do u know how much will this kind of work cost?

My idea is to flush the switch with the wall which means that i should not have any plastic backing rite? How do i go abt doing it? Hope you guys understand what i trying to say? If i hack and redo, i will need to apply for HDB permit and also extra money for the water-proofing..furthermore i might have a risk of complaint from neighbours if the the proofing is not done properly..Due to also budget constraint, i will just overlay unless patrick check and verify not advisable to overlay on exiting tiles..

I asking this becos im not trying to shortchange patrick but i would not want to over stretch my budget if i happen to select a **** expensive tile. Base on this quote? what price range can i choose? Sorry, what do u mean by 1 or 2 way switch? Im really a novice in this. What i want is to change all the lights switch to those big rocker switches. Only thing i know is i will need to buy some 1 gang,some 2 gang and also some 3 gang switches. Btw, 2 gang means there are 2 on/off switches in one plastic panel rite?
