Also, they also charged $3.30 to tile the floor per square foot. Add tile and new cost of cement screed should be about $9.50 per square foot. Is that reasonable? if you have a balcony/balconies then you might be able to avoid scaffolding. otherwise there's either metal or wood scaffolding where metal is much more expensive
