    I had several requests to see the work done by my ID. So I decided to upload it since I'm free. I sourced for several IDs to extend my kitchen as I felt that my existing kitchen had not enough space to do things and the cabinets were too high for me. Also, I wanted to make a 3-in-1 tv console, book shelf and shoe rack and was not sure how to go about designing it. It was not easy as most IDs wanted to charge me 7-8k to do my kitchen and a tv console with shelving and wanted me to pay first before coming up with any ideas. Eventually, I went with the ID who could meet my budget and even provided me some free 3D drawings to see what it would look like. This was the quotation.     all these sound like advertisements. good contractors are hard to find. i've heard a lot of horror stories from friends who sign and then the id/ contractor doesn't follow up properly. my contractor wasn't the cheapest but the quality good and he was very prompt in following up and did not mia. if you are interested, let me know

    huh my contractor charge me 110 for granite leh. i thought it's quite cheap already

    my contractor who did my kitchen last time told me granite needs more maintenance, need to seal every 2 years but quartz don't need to. he quoted me 120 per foot for the i series of iquartz and 110 for granite. i'm not sure how much it costs to reseal but i didn't want trouble so i chose the quartz in the end. he said don't use solid surface as it will absorb stains and get scratched easily so it's alot cheaper. i guess you get what you pay for for kitchen tops.

    hey all, my contractor quoted me 1380 for my 6 ft by 8 ft cabinet, around 225 per foot, is that reasonable? also, he quoted me 560 for my 4ft shoe cabinet. he said it's also standard to charge 25 dollars per sq foot for feature wall. should i engage?

    i also want to make a feature wall, can roughly estimate the price for me if i use mirror for the console and wood for the rest? my contractor's quote seems reasonable but i'm not sure my wall is 8 ft high and 6 ft long according to him. then he told me the price for the tv console is 150 but add mirror is 180 to cover the whole console. then the feature wall is around 1200 to do but he also mentioned that he can give me 10% discount. what do you think? thanks

    hey mike, eh sorry my first time commenting, can i just check with you whether my contractor's price is reasonable. he quote me. 6ft by 8ft full length cabinet in the room with laminate is 1380 standard kitchen top black galaxy granite top with black splash is around 770 for 7 ft the shoe cabinet he quote me 560 for 4ft and like the mirror he say is around 20 dollars per sq feet then he make my tv console like he told me is 750 for 5 ft oh and the featre wall until ceiling is 1200 but he say he can give me 10% discount thanks mike pls pm me soon
