We got our sofa from Sal Sal a year ago. No problem even till now.

The glass thickness has to be 12 mm or more if u wan to keep arowana(s). You can contact a local tank maker to find out more. Look for Wee Yang @96672353. He's a reputable tank maker who did up a lot of tanks for local hobbists who keep arowanas.

i am currently using a big 1-bowl undermount Bellari's sink with a Bellari mixer. no issue so far.

Nice fish tank has to come with nice cabinet as well. I suggest you visit some local fish shops such as C328 ( @ Clementi Blk 328) or QianHu to take a look first. At least u will get a rough idea on what you r really looking for.

Both my colleague and I have engaged Design Channel to do the renovation for our house. I have personally met IDs from around 15 firms before selecting Design Channel. Design Channel was the first ID firm that I met and I ended up choosing it for my reno because they did their work seriously and the proposed design is different from the rest of the firms. I was also shown the 3D design on my 2nd visit. Most firms will not do 3D designs for you without u paying for it or putting a deposit. Of course, there were some minor hiccups encountered during my reno but I guess it is impossible for any reno to be perfect. I am very pleased with the final look of my house when the reno was completed. Recently, my in-laws engaged another firm to do their renovation and encountered many issues and the entire experience is really unpleasant. Looking back and by comparison, I am really glad that I have engaged Design Channel to be my ID. The worksmanship of my house is so much better than that from my in-laws' house. The IDs handling my reno are Michael and Diana. Diana has very good colour and design sense. She even accompanied us to choose our tiles, furnitures, lights and toileteries. Michael is a vibrant young man who is easy going and friendly. He is the one who will be on-site to monitor the progress of the reno. Another good point abt this firm is that they LISTEN and rectify the issue when something goes wrong. This trait seems to be missing in many firms once u have put your signature on the dotted line.... If I ever moved to another house, I will definitely engage their services again for the reno.

It is still possible to get a new HDB flat when your combined income exceeds 8k. My combined income with my fiancee exceeded 9k and we wrote an appeal letter to HDB to participate for the Feb 07 ballot. From my understanding from HDB, they do allow couples to buy new HDB unit if the combined income exceeds 8k by not more than 5%. You can try talking to a HDB staff to find out more. For my case, my appeal was approved and I managed to purchase an EA unit in BP. However, my HDB loan is not approved and I had to get a commercial loan instead.
