I actually didn't know my car got scratched until I went out for lunch with my colleagues and they commented about the scratch. Because the scratch was on the other side of the car and I dun have the habit of checking the car in the morning before I drive off so I dun know which day and where was it scratched...
-
Wah yours is much worse than mine. They only scratch my left back car door.

Guess what... My Rain roller blinds is spoilt already! I suspect 1 of my neighbour itchy finger tried to roll it up when I left it down the whole day cos now is rainy season. They don't know that there is a hook at the bottom... must unhook it before rolling it up. They must have tried to roll it up forcefully and in the process tear the blinds from the base. I can understand why they want to roll it up cos when I leave it down, it blocks off light and wind from the corridor. I think their plants are dying... haha... I think I must conduct a training session on how to use the blinds for my neighbours after HDB repairs it... I dun mind them rolling it up when it is not raining but they must know how to use it properly...

Saw part of the hand and head protruding out of the ledge. Looks like a young indian girl/boy. The blood is splattered all over the wall on the 2nd level. Pity the family staying on the 2nd storey overlooking the pavillion. God bless the soul of the little girl/boy... Sigh...

Last night's thunderstorm was the first test the screen was put through. It worked very well. To ask HDB to install this, you got to make a 'Complain' at the branch office about the rain pelting on your door. After which, they will mail you a form to fill to accept some Terms and Conditions. If you accept them, sign it and pass the form back to them and the wait begins. There is only 1 company installing these screens for the whole of Singapore HDB flats. So they will consolidate the request and go to the different estates to install 1 by 1. When they were installing mine, I was told that only 3 flats in TPY Blk 79 requested for it so far.

I think it is just the lift's programming logic that is causing the problem. I can make the lifts (21-40) in blk A open at the lower floors everytime on the way up. I stumbled on this accidentally also. When you press your floor and the lift is on its way up, you press about 5 other floors continuously 1 after another. All the lift buttons lights will go off and the lift door will open at which ever floor that you finish pressing the 5 floors continuously at. When it first happened, me and my wife was shocked also... thinking to ourselves what's happening here... After it happened, i decided to do the same thing and see if it happens again to prove that it is not the doings of the spirits and voila I'm able to re-produce the result. Just to clarify, I was not playing with the lift buttons... Too old for that already... I haven't tried it on the way down though... Wonder if it is the same. On another note, do you know you can change your mind after pressing the lift button? Just press the button 3 times to un-select and the light will go off. I learnt this in Korea when I saw the passengers did this in the lift. Only the newer lifts have this feature...

Actually I saw a lot of ppl put this at the gate even though they dun have dogs... Anyone knows what is it for? To prevent our dogs from going into their house? haha... I suspect it is for some feng shui purpose... anybody have any idea?

Thanks! This is the 2nd time the mailman mis-delivered already. Luckily it is delivered to you. Wonder how many such cases are there... Nowadays, we lock our movable slot to prevent junk mail so if the mail is delivered wrongly, we also cannot put it in the correct mailbox... only way is to put it in the returned mail box and hope the mailman delivery correctly this time... Anyway, if I'm not in when you come, you can just slot it under my door. Thanks!!

I only need to change twice a day. She only does her business in the morning and evening. Straits Times got about 4 sections everyday but I only use 2 most of the time... That's why it will accumulate.
-
Wasted arh... you should have posted earlier... just threw away 1 huge stack of newspapers yesterday... Let me start accumulating again... pass to you next time instead of throwing away...

weekday evening? won't it be dark already when everyone gets home? I thought you would organise another one last Sunday morning since the previous Sunday was raining but didn't receive any sms from you Week nights will be better if we just go to the sky garden and klkk (kia lai kia ke) If you want, we can also bring our dogs for walk all the way to Balestier / Whampoh via the TPY Garden... I've done it before... Takes about 1 hr to go there and back... Good exercise for both dog and human...

Hi Carelinwen, I'm not sure about the rest of the blks but for those affected at 79A, it should be perpendicular to the door against the railing... I agree with you that it will be a magnet for thieves or vandalism... Need to check with HDB when such things happen... who pays???
-
No, the TPY HDB branch office is near KFC where you have to take a lift up...
-
As requested, I've scanned the document into a picture file. I think there is no need to sign the petition if you are ok with the design of the roller rain screen. You just need to go to the branch office and apply for it stating that your unit is affected by the rain.

Hi Everyone whose house is affected by the rain splashing on their main doors... I made a complain (they call it feedback ) to the branch office and they replied and said they will install the rain protectors for me which can be rolled up and down to block out the rain. Only condition is I have to sign an undertaking that I will be responsible for it and maintain it myself. If it is spoilt after the warranty period, I have to pay for the repair myself. They provided some black and white pictures on how the rollers look like and how to use it but it is not very clear. Not sure will it look ok ornot after fixing it and will the corridor be dark if the rollers are down. They will install it within a month if I sign the undertaking and return it to them...
