Last update for the day..the toilet! Cannot wait for the completed vanity cabinet..it's something that I would want to use and look for my reflection every day! http://renotalk.com/forum/uploads/gallery_62571_459_23996.jpg http://renotalk.com/forum/uploads/gallery_62571_459_73238.jpg Overall I've been quite pleased with Nick's services..always prompt in responding to my queries..plus he's also quite flexible in payment (just remember to pay him ) which something I really appreciate! Me and my other half aims for the modern resort look, and we're happy with how the house is turning out!

And here is the master bedroom... http://renotalk.com/forum/uploads/gallery_62571_459_149207.jpg http://renotalk.com/forum/uploads/gallery_62571_459_79533.jpg Got to give much much appreciation to Nick's carpenter uncle..he was very patient! I didn't realize that the walls of my flat are all curved or slanted...despite all of uncle's nagging, he still did a good job! He added some wood panels to 'straighten' the wall and I'm satisfied with his workmanship

Hi everyone! Sorry for lack of updates..but here are some pictures! http://renotalk.com/forum/uploads/gallery_62571_459_37360.jpg http://renotalk.com/forum/uploads/gallery_62571_459_86434.jpg One thing I liked is how open my kitchen has become! The actual space is quite small..but I guess the colour scheme helped to create that 'open feel'

So far so good..I notice that Nick's workers doing the tiles are neat and detailed in their work..no complaints there. Had doubts about the tiles when we first chose them, but it turned out great. Windows are going to start soon..as well as carpentry works. We're going for simple modern resort concept, nothing too fanciful. One thing we ARE concerned about is the ceiling fan and cove lighting combination in our master bedroom..fan seller says based on our dimensions, we can go up to 42inch ceiling fan, though I'm not entirely convinced! hahaha..will do more research on this..surely there's a maths formula to calculate a 'safe distance' to prevent shadows from the fan?

After searching high and low for a suitable company to renovate our 4-room resale, my fiance and I finally found Nick from Renoguyz! His quote is competitive as we're doing quite a bit (toilets, kitchen, master bedroom, windows and grilles, electrical, etc)..useful especially for those on a tight budget..Nick was able to quickly understand our requirements and provide extremely useful advice and ideas..what we liked was his practicality, which helped us to clarify what we exactly wanted for our home. But beware! He has a tendency to digress a a bit during discussions, so don't make an appointment with him if you don't have time! Nick's friendly and casual style makes us feel comfortable in talking to him..the chemistry is important I think. We'll go shopping for tiles soon, and my fiance and I are soooo looking forward to that! Will update this t-blog as and when..in the mean time, here are some "before" pictures...ciao!
