me also from blk 27A leh but my HDB ststus are still showing "HDB will invite you to take possession (ie collect keys) of your new flat in due course." Hmmm you get your key collection date thru letters from HDB or thru the HDB website ?

binzz yours is 85sqm or 90sqm? tink the difference between the 2 is in the living room oonly lor... 90sqm one got longer living.. Tink we more or less cmf on our ID le.. now waiting for her to get abck to us on the revised quote.. hope can get teh quote down a bit...

Hmm xlan u got doggy at home too huh ? Me too leh.. But also cos of our little doggy we are tinking of doing homo tiles for rm instaed of laminated cos we are afraid that the doggy sometimes might pee in the room and spoilt the laminate flooring leh.. Any advicefor dog owners?

Also read from forum quiet a lot of bad experience with ******.. maybe you would want to check out the forum. Anyway we had strike them off our list of reno contractor..

Hi Binzz, We just met up with ***** today also.. Our Id quote us abt 34k+(before GST). But heard from him they are gg to have a promo coming sat offering to absord the GST. Mayb u can check with ur ID. We had gotten a quote from ernest interior abt 1 mth back with exactly the same items. Its much cheaper at only 28k. But dunno if they had increase their pricing a not since most material prices had gone up recently. If you want u can try them also lor. hmmm... can you pm me ur quote? so far we had went to a lot of ID.. but only 3 came back to us. 2 quote us abt 28k. one of them quote us abt 35k including a panasonic system 3 aircon (b4 GST) We are still looking around for a few more b4 deciding who to sign up with ba. Anyway we are not rushing to move in also.. keke

Hi Yang Guo, Does your quote include the whole house window grill? and are u intending to have a door for your kitchen? I had got a quote from another ID which came out to be abt 28k leh.. the things that we are doing are almost the same as urs leh..

btw we went to take a look at the kitchen cabinetts on level 6... the interior of the cabinets are HORRIBLE!!From teh outside it look as if the storage is big and sufficient... but when u oprn the cabinet door to take a look... omg.. the top part of the cabinets are the pillar that HDB use to concel the pipes and that make the storage space very very little... very very bad design.. the one on teh 15th floor makes more sense.. Tink your can understand wat i am tryign to say if your have the time to go down and take a look.. so i will not consider the 6th floor contractor at all.. not pratical at all..

yah i tink the security meant 27B will hand over first cos 27B windows are all shut already.. tink that means they have locked up all the units in that block le.. whereas 27A windows are still open and you still can see workers working inside.. so most prob 27A will get keys in Oct ba..

If u are going for variable rates it's better to go with local banks. Because there have been many cases whereby foreign banks offered lower rates initially but after that the rates increass is scary. If u guys going for the SIBOR package, make sure to compare what are the terms and conditions between that and normal packages. Because it's likely that the T&C is are diff. And try not to consider Stan Chart normal floating rates because it might seems lower but past trends have shown they will increase more than the local banks. DBS package which is pegged to HDB rates is quite attractive too. Can check that out too. Or Maybank fixed rates also can as it is quite low currently.

Hi jazznpop, u sure can use CPF to pay for the mortgage insurance purchased with pte insurance co? coz i used to do bank mortgage loans and we also sell mortgage insurance to customers, but from what i know the premiums have to be cash terms. Maybe CPF board amend their rules? Also it's the norm for pte insurance co to give u a premium waiver for the last 2-5 yrs(depending on which co). And pte mortgage insurance is transferrable, as in next time if u change house u can transfer the policy to the new house. Anyway juz to share, NTUC income is cheap but heard before that if really need to claim they are stricter. Juz do a comparison 1st then decide bah.
