    if you want to rent out, i think it is faster if you advertise in newspaper... cos both direct rentee and also many agents will call and you can let them know that you dun want to pay agent fee..and ask them to look for people who want to rent your place and pay them agent fee instead..something like become buyer agent..

    I have bad experience with service provided by fren of fren... Cos those fren of fren is not your fren..so I dun think you will be treated differently from the other customers.. So I think you should treat those fren of fren as a normal ID whom you will do your normal due diligence..etc compare quote, research online

    Hi all, It seemed that there is a significant demand for customised curtains and blinds in Sg. I have 3 questions as below: 1) Is it easy to start this business as it look like it is only about coordination of suppliers to provide the goods? 2) Do you think it is possible to start this business without much experience? 3) Also what factors do you think is required in order for this business to succeed?

    I just came back from Ikea and spotlight.. I noticed that there is quite a huge difference over the quote i got from a curtain shop and the price of Ikea and spotlight.. And I think both of them offer installation services.. I think Ikea curtain and blind quality is so so but spotlight is not bad.. Now I kinda of think that it is really not worth spending nearly 3k for my EM when I can get similar for ard 1k.. Somemore I hear that curtain shop have quite a significant markup (at least 100% sometime 200%) Is that true?

    i think if use mat or carpet to lay over than quite wasted for those parquet flooring which i think most people want to enjoy it..maybe got waterproof coating that can be pianted over the flooring?

    Mine is EM and the cheapest quote I got was 2.6k for 2 day and nite curtains, 1 roller blind and 3 vertican blinds..

    i think all you have to do is just ignore them? I mean nowaday Singaporeans are quite smart de..not so easily cheated.. maybe a few..but there are a lot more way to be cheated than by these contractors.. but i agree aggressive, pushy type of sales behaviour should be regulated..

    I think it is not worth the extra work cos the correct process to get all the thing done in the correct sequences do require some professional experience..

    i think it just too much trouble to have to be so careful because we are dealing with a company of dubious reputation... i rather just shop somewhere more reputable..pay a bit more and less risk..

    maybe some contractors will increase their quotation higher for condo for better quality material..or that condo owner are percieved to be richer so can carrot? but if you compare enff quotation from different contractors then if all similar then should be safer...I think its because you go to ID but your fren go direct to contractor..
