hahah ya hot milo from the coffee machine, my cousin-in-law know the manager Dorothy so very fast, i told them i want white textured for living and black textured for kitchen. she showed us a few then we just chose from there so in turn cut short the long selection process.

hi babe, how you check for water seepage? I remem once i went after raining, there was a wet patch in my bedrm 3, beneath the windows, we attribute to rain splashing in but with the latch, it is unlikely. been waiting for it to raining to check it out again.

Hi! Yups there are about 5-6 of us in block 25B. Yes you can report defects anytime before you start your reno. But HDB take quite a while to repair your defects (also depends on what need touch-up, anything that involved main gate and bomb shelter takes 2-3 wks) i m going ahead to start reno before defects r rectified...hoping to get it out of the way asap.

yeah i read about that in yesterday's The New Paer i m jus curious so how much does en bloc residents have to pay for their new flat?

just to seek advice- i called HDB to check on my defects for 2 weeks, the lady said she cant give me a confirmed date as to when the defects can be rectified. She asked me to go ahead and do my flooring and they will rectify my defects after the flooring is done. She said they will go according to my defect list even if my reno starts in advanced... any advice?

hi all, some of you mentioned you do away with the hole at the entrance to secure the mental gate? hmmm wondering is that hole really neccessary heh my metal gate has a missing bit (bit to secure the lower gate to the bottom of the floor). the defect office any defect to do with metal gate need to wait 2-3 wks...

heh i didnt know that, we went immediately the next day again since we collected on a sat haha bean-- dont need 7 days, so long as before your own renos start eh we took our own sweet time to check, we checked 2-3 days if i remem correctly technically i think half day is enough loh, remem to bring masking tape to mark your defects we didnt sign up for SP as we know the renos will only start after CNY. but if you are heeding Mace's advice to wait for 3 days after 1st opening, pls remem to check ur water and electricity (only temporarily on for 3 days after collection if you dont sign up for SP straight away)

hi babe, it is quite a fast process but roughly all in all maybe u still need 1 hr (we took longer because we miscalculated how much we need in our CPF and did not have enough heh) already the lower floors unit are abit dark so better to go with daylight...
