  1. precisely alot money, we dont down to be taking bank loan...already need to take reno loan as we hope to pay without help from parents
  2. yes confirmed our unit will be ours but we have to take bank loan instead of HDB loan (if income exceed 8K) upon re-application of HLE loan.
  3. hi guys, what my bf is trying to ask is whether we have to take HDB loan or bank loan when HDB re-assess our income (if it hit 8K) upon collection of keys? As we have to defer the collection till next mid year, there is a likely hood we might hit the ceiling...and yes I asked the HDB officer, if our combined at that point in time hit 8K (luckily does not include bonus), we have to get a bank loan.
  4. showflat at hdb level 2... yups it is quite standard, not too sure we r going for in-built or what also. yups ours is 5 rooms, hehe no1 posted any pictues of 5 rooms, i have no idea what it looks like inside but mine dont come with kitchen tiles if i didnt recall wrongly.
  5. hehe should be, will you be doing a built in? Pls give me tips yah, i m just starting out actually but its more fun if more people bake together! and i cant finish the muffins unless we share it around yah we went to see the show flats and found the 4 rm flat abit small so we decided to opt for 5 room.
  6. http://www.flickr.com/photos/linggy/1022978353/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/linggy/1022978181/ peanut butter and nutella on chocolate muffins! hehe on sunday, all thanks to my darling colleagues~ anyone into baking among my new neighbours? sorry i deviate from renovating!
  7. i played the clarinet! hehe if you guys need a weird trio, pls ask me along...my bf played soccer
  8. i was looking forward to you as my neighbour babe! but its okay! if you are going to live near your in-laws, will be near my parent' house i will keep a lookout for you...are you planning to buy resale or new flats near extension?
  9. sorry should had made myself clearer! yups i meant the overall cost of my renovation is going to be so high...dont even have the basic floorings i think only 3 5-roomers in the thread? haha and the flat itself of course, we even have to do cash-top up if we take our pay into consideration. but as we are going to collect our keys later, our downpayment might be slightly more so might be able to escape cash top-up monthly.
  10. thanks! wooo initially we were thinking of taking block 25A, the block with the least west sun but only level 4,3, 2 were left by the 2nd day of balloting and it is super close to the school, was just discussing with my bf, our child can jump into the school. congrats to those getting keys soon!
  11. then i am not too sure already, i have no idea when is lynn suppose to sign her agreement. from what i understood, she can live with her in-laws, but not her sister-in-law who sounds like a terror...
  12. i think the 5 roomers will sign only after the 4 roomers finished just like the balloting exercise...
  13. he must be realistic to know we are not exactly staying on a high level which allows paranomic view. in addition we have to add in the cost of renovation, hdb interest etc etc no doubt, probably can earn some money by selling a flat in our location but how much is enough to afford a condo and the price difference between a condo in good location or elsewhere is huge! I hope he can see long term and the impact it will have on your relationhip i guess
  14. same here, the "cant cook for nuts!" community hehe but thankfully we are only 2 bus stops from my bf's house so i m looking forward to yummy homecook food in the future! really quite amazing to know so many pple even before we move in Nope, not going to do any ID show after the suntec's experience, alot hard-selling and not planning any reno till my hubby-to-be is back.
  15. the issue is amplified because they listed his parents as occupiers as such they have to sell their house away to be honest, i would give it up, buy my own unit with my bf, a few yrs down the road, fetch the parents to stay when they r older etc. (hopefully the his sister will find a new hubby or decide to live alone) too much risk to be on stake, your relationship vs your new flat in however superb location... 4 yrs later, kim tian will have balloting exercise also, my friend just went to pay for her en bloc unit.
  16. hehe my bf still has a long way to go, he spent his last 4 yrs in Aussie studying before coming back to serve his bond. he was at payer labar this begining of the year also. high risk is termed by his insurance for most SAF regular haha anyway just to ask to be on the safe side, of course cross fingers and toes everything will be fine. banking is good! where the money is haha coupled with long hours and stress... Do think it over carefully Lynn, dont want to start the marriage with unhappiness or what not.
  17. Oh no I am so sorry to hear that babe its getting more and complicated it seem. It is easy to find another buyer, i can easily think of 4 couples friends who balloted with me but couldnt get a unit but the issue is whether HDB allows. As my bf is in a high risk profession, we asked the hdb officer in case of anything mishap (touch wood), what will happen? she told me i can find another guy to buy the house with me (dont know the time frame given to me to find a new guy ) or either of my parent (who already owns a flat) or a elder sibling who is over a certain age (not too sure the age criteria now) I do hope things will turn out alright ya
  18. hehe thanks elaine! I am not collecting my flat till next June most likely. We have a letter which states my bf is posted overseas till next mid year so we can delay collection of keys till then. green, remem to invite me to your flat when you collect ar (haha actually I will invite myself ) xlan, thanks for the link, their flats look gorgeous ya exactly what i have in mind! hmmm i will go and read about the bad reviews!
  19. Hi Xlan, Yups it is very nice, very sleek my bf and I decided on chinese contemporary but i guess that will be brought out by our furnitures and accessories, not so much on the decor of the flat. We have not seen any IDs, only gave my house plan to my friend cum my ID. You guys heard of classic kitchen? My cousin's flat was recently renovated by them, I havent had the chance to take pictures, very nicely done, all their built-in is with blum cabinets but it comes at a price of course.
  20. I am on level 9! yeah more poeple in Block 25B yups our will get afternoon sun into our living room also...
  21. hehe even if king sized bed can fit into our room? i am dreeaming of a king sized bed after sleeping on my super single for 26 years sure i will check with her! cheers
  22. Hi xlan! Just realised you are using the same ID as my friend who also got flat in 27A I think, cant remem her block all of a sudden. I will ask if she is in the forum actually hehe
  23. yes the hotel have to compensate them! imagine the work and time put in for that 1 special day for your friend and his family. yeah, my parents are the ones who said they are more than happy to do without.
  24. the massive house warming will be in block 27 i guess so many people from that block haha My block only green and myself but we are only 3 storey away Phew the only thing i did for my marriage is to buy wedding bands before the GST hike! most likely not doing wedding banquet...haha feels like i m missing out something oh yah! I booked my bridal studio also hehe that is for phototaking, still trying to see we can come up with enough money to do a photoshoot in Perth where my bf is right now.
