Kooky, actually we also don't have alot creative ideas.. We have no theme at all.. Just want the place to be simple , cosy, bright, clutter free and easy to maintain. More ideas mean more bleeding ($$$).. Yes bleeding in progress now hahaha

If you look at my floor plan, you can see that L2 original common toilet is bigger and in L shape. MBR toilet is small and will be v cramp if we do a shower screen so we hack the wall to make space for shower screen area. Actually after changing the layout both toilets also not big hahahhaa! Only thing is make no sense for common toilet to be so big lol. No no need PE endorsement. We have alot hacking though.. All approved except for the wall at common bedroom which we are still waiting for HDB reply zzzzz

Hi kooky, I read somewhere on fengshui that the kitchen already has a very strong fire element, and the red walls were contributing to hot tempers and a lack of communication. I'm not too sure about that but I will just avoid. But if you don't believe in fengshui can just ignore. It's really up to individual's preference

You are so lucky to get EM at 60k cov ! Somemore near MRT and west mall! I remember when we viewed EM units at Blk 140 plus the asking cov was already 60-80k at least ! Moreover is a corner unit. I suppose those are 3rd gen EM ? Congrats!

Hi benauhc, we are paying $400 for the PE endorsement. I read that some fellow RT forumers were so lucky without PE so I tried my luck talking to the senior technical officer from HDB HQ directly but it seems not that easy these days leh Holding the approval as in status on Hold or did they state require PE ?maybe you can call them up personally to chase them. My ID, my ah lao and myself all called the officer. (kiasu) sorry berlinbear to hijack your thread

My house really alot hacking of walls.lol.. Kitchen.. L1 bedroom.. L2 toilets.. L2 Common bedroom.. All hacking were already approved except that Piece of wall! We just got PE endorsement this morning with help of my ID to tell that Aunty PE pls just endorse lol. I pity my new neighbors coz they another unit had just completed their Reno and now they have to suffer again.

By the way did you do plastering for your EM and care to share the cost? We didn't want to do plastering initially but now am considering. Thanks.

Thanks for the reply. No it's nothing to do with my ID. Apparently it's the PE who gave alot crap on BCA Etc.We wouldn't want take any risk either for not having PE endorsement. I spoke to the technical officer and he told me mainly on safety issues that require PE endorsement that's all. We then told our ID and he then told the PE to prepare the endorsement so we can proceed, if not we will look for other PE. When I told the hdb technical officer on why some EM units do not require PE, he said now very strict and those EM layout is different from mine zzzz. He said why need go to BCA ?? Anyway hope the PE can speed up and go ahead if not gonna delay coz hacking start today!!!

Hi berlinbeAr, saw that you had the wall of your bedroom hacked. Do u require PE endorsement? I'm having headache now as ours require PE. And the PE through my ID said require BCA etc etc !!! Crazy! I I spoke to HDB technical officer Liao but he still told me get PE. Looks like I need to source for another PE.
