The carpentry works from yesterday. they are really fast lor... the previous nite, everything is still in the living room, then now, all installed liao, except for the doors. most of the carpentry works' is installed. Thanx for the compliments.. i won't said my house is really nice compare to the rest here, but i do know its the way i want my house to looks. Of course, some part of it, i have to thanx for renovator for his ideas and also giving a good price for my renovation. Well, i also learn alot from the rest in this forums. so, can said we are learning from one another here.

Hi, thanx for the compliments, i like blue, so whole house kind of blue blue lor... hahaha.. except for kitchen, coz that is my mum's territory, so have to consult her. i like contrast, so furniture is of darker color if wall is light in color and vice versa. i also prefer to have single color across the walls in a room. my contractor was also saying that i am like doing his job, coz i design my own, oredi planned where i want the power points, the colors.. i even had a detail dimension of the whole house before i even met him... hahaha

i will have some book case to put most of the comics, and those some of them will be kept in my store room. i know my mum gonna nag me on that, but then, i can't leave without comics... hahaha its my mental distress 'medication'.

Painting work had oredi started liao... some photos of it, can't take the living room, coz the carpentry are blocking the views, The photos are not that good, coz it was taken at night around 8.30pm. The balcony area (balcony and living room and dining room are all light blue) The pipe suppose to be dark brown color. Master Bedroom (the paint was not fully done here. think it is the first coat only) Used darker blue coz i like blue, and wanted the MBR to be slightly darker, but the furnitures/bed frame/wardrobe will be light colors, to create the contrast. The piping in the master toilet. (seems the gloss blue is too light. dunno can ask them to use slightly darker blue or not) Study Room. (which is a lighter blue than MBR but darker tone than living room) My Mum's Bedroom (these is a hazy light purple, that my mum choose herself) And the store room, with the door frame. All my door frame is walnut color.

mine renovation is still on going. majority of the re-wiring is done, except for those that requires the carpentry works to be installed before they can continue. u can visit my t-blog chat here I do read some in the news that the price of copper wires have went up for the past few months, that's why alot of places have their wirings stolen. Some workshop even had their whole unit wiring stolen. Was in the news last few days.

nope, i didn't install shower screen. I am not particular fancy about shower screen. also the louver window in the toilet is longer. so it kind of obstruct the shower screen if installed.

Today is really tired, after work, went to gym, then rush down to my new house before 8pm coz my lightings delivery is after 8pm. When reach there, the delivery guy is not here yet, so took the time to mark out the location where i want the lights to be. took me quite some time. and when the lights were delivered, have to go thru the invoice one by one and then marked them also. By then time i reach home.. was **** shack liao. The carpentry works are also in the house liao, and the painting was also done.

eh... the painter and the electrician is part of my renovation package from my contractor, the painter is his workers, the electrician is sub out... so i also not sure their contacts. have met the electrician once only, during marking of the electrical points. as for the package, will post here later...

Mine was $1200 for the whole house. Ceiling is white. the rest, up to me. no limit of colors. Painted my PVC piping to other gloss colors also. Of course, becoz my whole house is been done by the renovator, so he said no point restricting my choice of colors. I also did whole unit plastering which cost me $1800. quite nice, coz old house's wall tends to be blocky and not flat. After plastering, quite nice and flat. I heard from this from my renovator while doing the marking of the electrical points for my new house. He mentioned that new HDB requirement is that the Main Circuit Board has to be around the height of 1.6m to 1.8m, within the reach of a average height adult. My house was 18yrs old and the condition was run-down, so i wanted to re-wire the whole house as i feel that is safer and also the quality of copper wire are much better than those that are 10+yrs ago. And rewiring whole house allows me to place the socket where i wanted them to be as well as the number of sockets. I was given a package, which contains certain number of single and double sockets including sockets for washing machine and aircond. This package cost $2000. and any additional sockets will be charge according to the price list that they passed to me with my quotation. As for this, i am not sure.

same as mine, mine was a 18yrs old flat. ya. agree., for me i went to ask a few quotation, and also, my fren intro my current renovator to me, and got a special good price from them, plus i find them quite efficient and pro, so decide to save the trouble of rounding around and go for them. so far, had been quite happy with them, except the minor problem with the plumbing side.

hihi, welcome, welcome. me also quite new here. how old is ur flat? i believe certain old flats' design are almost the same, with abit of small difference. so have u found ur contractor/ID yet? Hope to see ur floor plan and layout too. Do take pics of the 'before' state. then next time can compare the 'before & after' liao.
