Just came back from HDB... officer was a kind lady however she was not able to tell us the estimate date for collection of keys. She just said "not so soon... not so soon" and that we can check from the HDBpage wanted to ask her about the process to delay the collection of keys but think she cant help so i gave up asking. Will wait till the time to collect then think of what to do... now just chill out... work... save $$$ for reno...

Me and hubby too... taking it easz as we are in no hurry to shift in... will be signing our lease agreement tomorrow tho... By the way, wonder if anyone knows when can we delay the collection of keys till??? If there is no valid reasons for the delay, will hdb allow??? Coz I dun wish to collect the keys till April next year...

Hi Nemofc Saw a shop at furniture mall (Beach road plaza parkroyal hotel) selling rattan furnitures quite unique... U can go see see look see... only one shop selling...

Looking at the rate of the construction, I think we should be able to get the keys at the end of this year. If ur customary is Jan 08 then I think you should start looking for reno quotation and some furniture... good to start looking around to compare prices... once get keys can start reno liao...

Hubby and I intend to wait till the next great Singapore Sale i.e. End May 2008 or Beginning June 2008... at the meantime will just see see look see here and there... Intend to start reno next april and hopefully it will be done by june... then start buying stuff during great singapore sale hopefully can help save $$$$ (budget so bo bian) and can ask for delivery directly to Jalan Membina before August 2008 (Lunar Seventh Month)... Then move in after custmary wedding... everything new new de...

Yoz... Just checked My HDBpage... will be signing lease agreement on 17 August 2007 (Friday)... Soooooooo happy.... Blk 26D neighbours to be... check it out... maybe 26D all signing on that day.... !!

Green Try talk things out... it is such a pity to give up the flat (you are one of the lucky few from 3130 applicants leh) . I gave up the 5 rm Ang Mo Kio flat 2 years ago and heart was super pain due to the lost of the $2000 and wedding plans delayed coz I din managed to get a flat till now... Do seriously consider... it will be good if HDB allows you to remove ur PIL as occupiers and that ur BF agrees that you 2 stay alone for a while. Will pray for you... Good luck...

Sorry to hear that... but i dun think u will get the refund of $2000 if you give up the flat coz i gave up a 5 rm Ang Mo Kio flat two years ago and HDB refuse to refund me the $2000 even though I wrote in to appeal with a valid reason. However, do try to appeal coz u never know...

Hi Yang Guo Checked with HDB officer and according to my understanding, signing of lease agreement will be anytime within 3 months from the date your HLE application is approved i.e. before HLE expires. There is nothing much to be done except to check your mailbox and HDBpage everyday for notification...

Hi future neighbours Found this para under the HDB website under housing loan from HDB Validity of HLE Letter The HLE letter will be valid for 3 months from the date of issue. There is no need for re-assessment within the 3 months period as long as the buyers and intended occupiers remain the same. For uncompleted flats, where the purchasers will only obtain physical possession of the flat a few years after the date of selection, we will reconfirm your loan eligibility before disbursement of the loan to check that there is no change in your financial ability to service the loan.

Hi xlan Highlight your case to hubby... he mentioned that for laminate flooring rite... care must be taken else in long. Water patches on laminate flooring should be wiped off ASAP and when mopping rite... the mop should not be too damp else it will ruin the laminate. He did mention that "supreme laminate" is better but of course it comes with a price lah... For your case rite... he did said tiles seems better coz even if water is left unwiped is still ok. My hubby did suggest to have laminate flooring for the entire house but we are still discussing as I prefer tiles for living room coz I always think that tiles are more durable (I guess but he said I dunno about laminate flooring coz now got very good and expensive de) He did mention that laminate will have a more cozy feel and there are many brands, some are more durable and expensive than the others ... din really pay attention to which is good coz i not beri interested in reno stuff... what do you want to know... maybe can ask him tomorrow...

Wow... you guys must be really excited... already started sourcing for ID le... Am leaving everything to my hubby coz he is an interior designer hence can relak one corner. My duty is to plan and handle the Customary wedding stuff... AD is in Nov 2008... Bridal studio and Banquet settled liao... so nothing much to do for my part but to patiently wait for the day to come We intend to start our renovation in April 2008 and hope to get things done by late July 2008 think August is lunar seventh month so inauspicious to reno. Furnitures and appliances in by Early October and move in after our customary wedding.

Hi future neighbours Wanted to pop by our surrounding area to look around however the security guard saw us and ushered us into the construction site. He bought us to the staircase leading to our unit and asked for a token from us... After negotiation, we paid him a SMALL sum and went up to our unit to take a look. Din expect him to do that tho as we thot can go up liao when he ushered us in... Staircase abit dark but quite safe lah. Just have to be careful... Am quite happy with the bathroom coz tiles and toilet bowls are pastel colour (MBR is greyish blue while common toilet is beige) Am very particular with toilets coz simply can't stand dark coloured basins and toilet bowls Love nest looks SMALL wonder what we can do to make it look bigger... Think the SMALL sum has really ease our mind... at least we see our unit liao... and the view from the windows too

Redbottle, Oh... am sad to hear that... For my case, the officer was rather efficient, she promised to expedite the application process yesterday morning for me and she really did. Guess what... I am so surprised to find the HL* approval notification in my letterbox today Guess it is a matter of luck... perhaps it is friday the 13th today... hence the officer wasn't really helpful... You can actually check the status online through H*B website... I was checking it for the past few days till they called to ask for a document from my hubby's company. Got him to send down personally the very day and that was when they approve. Think there are alot of red tape during the approval process

Hi future neighbours Just checked that my HLE has been approved today... chose flat on 21 Jun 2007 but submitted HLE application a week later. Just wanna check if we can get our $2000 booking fee back after we signed the lease agreement? Hope to channel the $2000 to my wedding banquet deposit... I guess it is all about $$$$ when it comes to setting up a family...
