Hi Sam, How much does it cost to hack the wall? Am thinking of hacking the wall as well. Also, how much it cost to over lay the kitchen walls? Think I will just leave out the 2 bathroom. !! Lynn

Hi Nemofc, How's uHome package like? Today i went to Max's Image Design Studio and their showroom is really nice. However the quote that the ID gave us was rather expensive. Heard from him that *****, uHome, Chew Interior including Max's Image are the pretty high end designing firms. He quoted $1950 for MBR wardrobe, for homogenous tiles @ $3 psf anti-stain (he claimed this is the lastest homo tile design, in the market for 3 mths+), $950 for granite solid top. Though he throw in a Rinnai Hod & Hood and a basin and tap (not sure what brand), but the final cost is still very high. Am still considering now.

Hi, anyone has Classic Design and GPlan contact no.? Wish to get a quote from them as well. Please PM me. Thanks in advance.

Hi Dorcas, I think there isn't much sun facing on Blk 26B. Cant really gauge cos we went there around 12-2pm, the sunlight is still shinning downwards onto the blocks.

Hi Yang Guo, I'm not sure bout that too. I'm trying to find ways to cut down reno cost. THus thought of IKEA cos their kitchen concept is really good and I especially like their wardrobe storage solution. I have just started sourcing ID thus will need some time to work out the reno cost to compare before I can conclude. In fact I would very much like to be my own designer for my home hahaha. Cos the satisfaction level is much higher compare to engaging ID. I was thinking of getting contractor to do the bare mininum and the rest will be on our own.
-
Hi, Has any one considered engaging IKEA for the kitchen reno and MBR wardrobe? Any comments on the above?

Hi h4happy, Nope mine is 26B. I just went to the area in the noon time to feel the sun. Went up 27A ... wow the view is nice, same goes for 26D plus it's windy. On the way back, saw this project consultant and he brought us to 26D #27-106 if i'm not wrong, one of the show room there. Find the flooring workmanship good! Thus dropped by his office at 118B for further discussion. Finds him sincere and not pushy. Now waiting for his quote. Hi Nemofc, Thanks.

Nemofc, I went in to my homepage to check everyday and it's still the same. "Probable completion Q4 of 2007". I just went over to the site to take a look at my block. Notice some of the windows are open. Does that mean the contractors have not hand over to HDB for checking? Really wonder how long it's gonna take before i can collect my keys.

Hi Future Neighbours. Wow .. so many things to do for the open door ceremony. Not sure if it's necessary for me cos my bf is a christian and he dun believe in such things. I was reading thru some of your posts and it's interesting that different people have different methods of door opening ceremony. Anyway cant wait for my turn to come. I'm still waiting for key collection and the long wait is really frustrating. arrggghhh.. If NTUC won the bid, that will be the best. Dun have to walk so far to Tiong Bahru Plaza and simply hate the always long queue.
-
Hi Xlan, Mind if you can share your quotation with me? Saw your home design and finds it very nice!
-
Hi Future Neighbours, Just got my HLE approved (it sure took a long time) and will be going for my first appointment 1st week of Sept. Hooray! Hi Binzz, I did notice that protruding corner of the living room too when I 'sneak up' to my unit some time back. Hee hee. It kinda makes the living room even smaller...
-
