The guy who came and quoted for us is call Warren, 96866840. Can check with him. He is on time for appointment and not pushy. We picked them for moving and storage, so far for the first move, everything is good. They use local labour and true enough, those movers who came are very experienced and careful with my stuff during the moving. But as i haven't receive my items yet due to being in storage, i will feedback again when they move my stuff into my new place probably in Sept. At this moment, so far so good.

LHWH, yes, I will do that. The resale flat that we bought is 15 years old, waiting for my ID to revert back. I will note down and speak to the plumber before we start work. LHWH, just to check with you, why did your contractor says why the pipes cannot be concealed? Any reasons? I am horrified as well, now worrying if my toilet pipes will be the same, i am checking with my ID as well, he say will come back to me. However, I came across a few blogs on resale flats, their toilets does not have this type of piping. Check with my friend who renovate recently, his toilet also have the same piping layout as yours. So now i am so confused also...

Actually depends also, my agent work alone, but he is good, screen through those shortlisted flats based on my requirement first like house directions, and we viewed 3 flats in 2 hours, confirmed the last viewing and managed to get our selected house at my desired price which is the most important.

yeah, did get abit more space as my previous flat is a 4 room, needed the upgrade after having 2 young kids + 1 dog and not enuf space for them to run about without knocking into walls.. I cant help to laugh at the instant shower part, i hope i will be able to use gas heater as my current place i am using gas heater and really like them than the instant one, havent tried storage heater though. Previously i was using rinnai stainless steel hob (not inner flame) and it served me well for my light cooking, just that this round, the only electricals i will be buying will be aircon and hob, so thinking to get a glass one as it may be easier cleaning up.. Not getting hood as i didn't use at all for the past 6 years even though i had it, call me lazy.. hahahaa..

The sofa looks really nice, i love fabric sofas. Having a tight budget on my reno and mine is resale 5 room (still havent get keys and checking out alot of prices from here ), alot of my budget went into hacking and tiling, so will be using back all my existing furniture, else i sure get the same sofa.. hehe.. Sorry if you mis-interpret my request, i would like to know the scope which you had brieftly mentioned already, listing the breakdown would be too much to ask for as different contractors mark up at different areas. Does your cost includes the doors and gates? Thats a very competitive price if it includes. Are you doing very little carpentry?

Hi, may i check how much does it cost to replace the doors and door frames?

Seems to be on the high side, my neighbour just moved yesterday, using S***** movers is $180. But i got 1 quote from another mover also Str**** is near to $300. I am also getting 4 movers to my place to access and provide quotation, but didn't ask from The Helping Hand. Mind to share how much stuff you are shifting? Maybe thats why the price seems to be at the high side.

Liling29, if you and your hub doesn't like the house, no matter what, you guys wouldn't have bought the house right? Buy house also depends on many factors, guess it will be better not to think of them as a divorce house. Guess first have to work things out first before anything can work. Harmony brings luck!

I would feel, its better to take away whatever stuff he did for you, consider it as money wasted then to continuing to put there. Sometimes see FS also must have "yuan fen" with the master. Personally, some house may not suit a couple doesn't mean it won't suit you. Hopefully you and hub are better now.

Why i ask this question is because, i thought if view many times, seller thinks you want the house very much and mark up on the COV? Not all sellers are honest and nice sellers..
