-
Ya.. I think not much difference? I only remember the ferroli model has higher flow rate? Are you installing rain shower?

Hmm, i'm also not very sure. maybe its really spray paint. which explain the poor quality... a few of our neighbours asked the BSC to rectify the problem and the workers created new damages on the panel when they tried to scrap off the paint.

My window grills problem - Part 2 Sadly, there is part 2 to this. They told me on Sat that they will install the windows and remove the extra grill on Tuesday. As usual, timing can only let me know on Monday. So Monday afternoon i called them up again, and guess what.. they can only make it on Wednesday. Let's hope everything end on Wednesday So is it really true that - cheap things (or service) no good? good things no cheap? Or ''Cheap, good, fast'' can only choose 2? What happen to the cheaper, better, faster? hahaha..

My window grills problem I did not take my service yard windows & grills from my contractor cause i found this company that offer me much cheaper price. so, I fixed the appointment to install my window grills on 27/6 few weeks back. Few days before the installation date, I called up the company to ensure they do not forget and also ask for the exact timing (we only fixed the date). They told me they will only let me know 1 day before appointment. That's ok. So the day before, I waited but there is no call from them. So i called them up and guess what, they cannot come on 24/6. Cause the windows are not ready, they can only come on the following Monday 30/6. My contractor has already planned to lay the flooring on Monday, so they have to come either on 27/6 or 28/6. After much ding-dong here and there, they agreed to come on the Saturday 28/6 9am-12pm. On that Saturday, i waited till 1230pm but nobody came. Called their office but nobody is working on Sat. Was so angry and I left. When I reached home, I remembered that i have the Hp number of the sales person. So I called him up and after some checking, he told me that the installation team actually reach there about 1245 (luckily there was 1 worker there) and they already installed the windows & grills. So in the evening i head back to check if the installation is ok. Everything seems ok except that they did not install the windows (cause measurement wrong) and install grills at my air-con ledge window which i don't need. Living room Room 1 Room 2 Air-Con Ledge windows - do no need it as my wardrobe will be here Service Yard The windows is so clear that it looks like there's no window! Ok, the window is missing.

Lousy window panel by HDB this is a common problem for my BTO. the powder coating will come off if we using masking tape on it (when they paint) I can ask BSC to rectify it for me.. but feel like ignoring it and let it be. since i will be installing window grills. Should i?

my contractor did ask me if i want slope or step.. i guess step is better TC washing? i did voice out on the your concern before.. he mentioned that there is this aluminium sleeve and vinyl is water proof.. so i guess should be fine.. are u also on the same floor as me? from what i read online.. understand that those filter will help to 'remove' the smell... haha your place already done swee swee.. very nice alr la~ i think its considered as carpentry work...
-
haha we decide on just the windows/door removal because of the cost. thought it will be a lot cheaper compared to whole wall removal..
-
My contractor quoted me $900. The cheapest among all the quotes i received. Mr k quoted me 2.8k iirc.

Hi, i intend to install this fan in my living room. i have downlights there too. so brightness is not so much of our concern. we just want to have a combination of white and warm lights. but i'll let u know once i install the fan and if it is bright enough.

First guest of my new home (came w/o invite) left me a house warming gift.

about 1 week after i got my keys. from request to completion took about 2 months. but normally it should only take 4 weeks? i read from another blog that if you intend to hack your walls, you should do it after hacking. if not this can be the first item on ur renovation list. if u intend to lay cables and hide it using the screed, then i guess u have to do it before that.

After a couple of hours, air con trunking done. The cornice above has to be removed to install the indoor unit there.

Air-Con pipes installation day! My contractor told me he will be there to co-ordinate with the air con pple. being the worried kind, i also took leave to ensure everything goes smoothly. and true enough, my contractor didn't make it at the appointment time. lucky i was there. Took a few photo of the progress first. Wall lining and cornices all up. Cornices (with my living room air con location) Removed the windows and door at the service yard. Leveled the floor at the entrance so that my vinyl can go all the way out

thanks! lets see how alike is my wardrobe to the pictures..

Thanks for sharing. But i have let my contractor do it already. They will lay the floor this coming Monday. Actually they did gave my bto this group buy price at 5.8psf + gst. But still out of my budget hahahaa

We did not pay cause the HDB supervisor in charge told us not to. this is what he said. If the depth is more than 40mm, then it is the fault of the main contractor (the one that built the flat) and they will level the floor up to the desired level. then the sub-con will proceed to do the 40mm. however, i realise that it depends on the HDB supervisor in charge. I think some of them are bo chup kind. my estate itself got 2 in-charge. the other guy (who take cares of other blocks) just tell the residents to pay the money.

basically most of our time is spent preparing for our photoshoot in sept, wedding next year and renovations and one fine day we realise that we actually had some free time , so window shopping @ ikea we go! this is when we saw their wardrobe and we realize something different about their wardrobe. their door! their door sliding mechanism is inside meaning their door will appear bigger on the outside unlike typical wardrobe where the slide mechanism is on the top and bottom. unfortunately, my contractor told me that will be extra cost.. and its not cheap.. so we stick to the standard kind..

my contractor showed us his wardrobe design and we don't really like it. so its back to the drawing board (internet actually) searched high and low and found something we like. thats it! this is the one! So we just show him this and he will do accordingly. haha. then comes the laminates selection. another headache. (renovation is such a headache hahaha) after much thought.. these are what we chosen. let hope it turn out nice.
