I have a similar floorplan to yours! really looking forward to your renovations as well hahah! anyway i've something to check, how long it took you to go request for the cement screeding? Im planning to do laminates flooring for my flat, do i have to request for the cement screeding immediately after i get my keys or i can wait a few months later when i start my renovation?

    Really?! Hmm.. Then I should really consider it carefully! Given that tiles may be more expensive but it might jus save me from maintenance /repairing fee of the laminate flooring. I really like the look of laminate, which is similar to parquet. I will recce to see if the wooden tiles can replicate that "feel" Hahha my dog does that as well.. But my parents flat homogeneous tiles have prove it's worth! Hahah

    Thank you very much for the info! I haven start shopping around.. So would like to ask if u are aware of how the price difference between wooden tiles and laminate flooring? And why not laminate flooring for the whole house? I thought it's a good alternative to parquet!

I feel really sorry to hear about what you and the others have went through because of the contractor.. I can only imagine how much frustration and exasperation to get things done and going. Being a first time house owner and planning a Reno soon, I am really glad I took the time and read through ur Tblog! I have gain so much other information and helpful tips along the way. I hope in time to come, your house will be filled with laughter and happiness so that it will be the solution to the defects left behind by the contractor. Stay optimistic!
