  1. hi morning all for those who requested to delay collecting keys, any procedures? as we will be away in Nov & Dec so won't be around to monitor the renov works if start. Was thinking to postponed to next year. advise, thanks
  2. check this out on homo tiles. [http://www.renotalk.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=9797
  3. postwonder, thanks i have nothing to share yet cos' johnny didn't quote us as we don't know what we want yet. we didn't discuss before we go look for him. but he still nice to advise us about the MBR and kitchen layout of his own ideal....
  4. binzz, many thanks. not sure what to do next... ID or Contractor.... as said, went to talk to johnny (UHome) last weekend, he's very friendly and even though we have nothing to conclude, he still goes all way to explain the different tiles, layout etc. Actually, he show us a layout of JM Blk 26 something, can't recall liao... very nice
  5. h4happy thanks in advance. i'm looking at that too. Cos' we dont want those carpentary work / designer look.
  6. O ya, cos' we want practical rather than designer items. can share your contractor's quote/ recommend yours? But you saw their workmanship? do email me
  7. binzz, can share your contractors' quotation? any good one to recommend? possible to email me direct as my mailbox is full here...
  8. elaine, so you looking for contractors instead of ID firms? i'm sourcing as well as mine is very simple one (2 wardrobe, kitchen cabinets, etc)
  9. binzz, thanks submitted via fax on 11/ 12 Oct (i guess) and told the credit operation dept that is urgent (saying my sales officer is waiting) and with an urgent stamp. just now check the status, APPROVED. yeah! do they allow to get keys on Saturday?
  10. yeah!! Finally our HLE has been approved BUT my officer is out of office, back tomorrow. Will quickly call to ask for keys tomorrow morning. heee what's about the rest of blk 27a?
  11. to you. We are still waiting for our HLE to get approve.
  12. h4happy & postwonder many thanks for the information. it's very useful
  13. heard laminate flooring is no good after years, it will hv chips at edge (not sure you knows what i mean). parquet flooring is still better than laminate flooring. But i worry that the sun will do no good to parquet if done up. worse come to worse, granite liao lor..
  14. but granite tone is very limited & are darker tone. maybe use ceremic tiles... faint
  15. Binzz, thanks for the explanation. But i heard from my colleagues that she have bad experience on the homogenous tiles. Especially, she can't use the mop to mop the floor but manually mop (meaning using a damp cloth to mop & dry cloth to wipe away) else, when it dry up, can see the water mark there. Also, her kid's crayon drop on the floor, can't be remove. i heard about the anti-stain too but heard is not true too. Granite, will also have stains too. what to do? who is using the parque? can advise?
  16. i am having a big headache... deciding using homogeneous , granite , ceremic tiles. I heard homo will hv stains on it and when mopping the floor, must quickly dry it. Granite, i don't like the dark tone. Ceremic, still hv pple using that?
  17. thanks. my friend's home was renovated & completed (Tanglin Halt) recently by U-Home and the workmanship is especially the floor tiles - vy slim gap as compared to those i saw at JLn Membina showflat. My colleague's relative used A&D and their flat was posted in their website. Heard vy nice but have yet to check it out. As for RenoZone, my friend's home at Depot road also commented vy good & reasonable. I have yet to visit her house yet. But heard that price was adjusted slightly increase cos' they got awarded after renovating their house. Have contacted them & might visited their showflat next week. Still waiting for their confirmation.
  18. thanks, but i'm meeting JOnny. Till, we really confirmed engaging him then talk about pricing. Now just see what his quote for us.
  19. Latest update on HLE Re-application: All you need is to FAX to Credit Operation unit instead. NO need to mail original document as advised by them. Also, NO need to apply online again. yeh, we'll be meeting U-Home this weekend to discuss on renov. So, will have to discuss the design ourselves before meeting the ID. we are looking at U-Home, RenoZone & perhaps A&D interior. Any comment on the 3 ID? Acutally, ours is very simple one, not much. Maybe NO ID, just engage contractor. haha Pengling, just clarify, Credit won't auto-renew your HLE. If possible, i won't share the info to all already. Do check with your credit officer if confirm can auto-renew your case (even if you are not urgent to collect keys)
  20. (2) not sure how to explain here lei. Paid adjusted means you have extra $$ left in cpf after deduct for monthly installment. If you calculated very accurate for your monthly installment after pay is in, you will feel very tight if raining days... understand what i m saying? can someone enlighten binzz... !! how to explain why fork out 10K?
  21. !! about the reapplication of the HLE application cos' of pay adjustment. My suggestion is : either (1) wait & reapply so that you can avoid the cash top-up or (2) collect keys now with your existing HLE application while still valid. Extra $$ due to your pay adjustment, leave it as an extra in your CPF. (Do you get what i mean?)
  22. binzz, try to call them before 5pm as their daily transaction closed at 5pm although office hours is till 5.30pm. QUICK!!!!
  23. Once your HDB status changed : "HDB will contact you to collect keys soon". You should tried to call them 1 week after to chase the status (if you urgent in need of keys). Thru' experience of my friend, and also myself, so share this with all of you here. My hdb officer said there are many cases on-hold, unless you called to ask, they won't check and they will go by batches. Hope the above info, helps.
