  1. Buy a grinder and do the cutting. Cheaper and less troublesome
  2. Great, using it with my rain shower. Took 30sec to warm up
  3. There is this top loader from fisher and paykel at 8kg but within 60cm. I am also using it due to the restriction of space. Still prefer top loader as I can still dump in more clothing at the last minute and use cheaper washing powder too. I am using Xiao Mi 49" in my MBR which I find it still too small. TV is always not big enough to get the cinema effect. Xiao Mi just launch a 55" using Samsung panel at an incredible pricing of RMB4999 with soundbar and wireless sub. Very tempting to upgrade to this Mi TV and transfer the existing one to my dad's room. I will stay always from Korea fridge at all cost and use Japanese brand. Still prefer brands like Panasonic, Sharp, Mit or Hitachi fridge. Seen some bad review on the Bennington. I using gas heater from Rinnai as I can't stand the bulky tank just above my head. If you insist on running on electric heater, You can look at AOsmith heater that's comes with digital temp control and auto timer.
  4. Very nice industrial concept you have, but I foresee a very high maintenance house as there are many black horizontal surface and wire that will be collecting dust.
  5. Very nice detail sketch on the drawings. But I find that your kitchen cabinet is abit too tall. Normal height for kitchen cabinet including vanity top is about 850mm, 900mm is fine if all the family members who will be using the kitchen top are very tall.
  6. Hi I am also considering changing the clear glass panel only on all the windows to tea colour glass? Is there any recommended contractor and the price psf? Thanks
  7. Hi I need to install window grille on my service yard. I am looking at hot dipped galvanised wrought iron with simple design according to the BTO guideline. Do you have any recommended direct factory or contractor? What is the market price psf if my service yard grille is about 8ft x 4ft. Thanks
  8. Someone is pulling a fast one on you. It should goes by per foot run. For full height as in your case should be 3ft x $200 (market price for full height) = $600
  9. Has any engage the service of Steeldios for their wrought iron? From their website, they seem to be the direct manufacturer and the price quoted seem to be reasonable. I have search on the web for feedback but nothing turn up so far.
  10. The sink plumbing done by the contractor? How come no waste trap installed below sink? If no waste trap, I foreseen that your piping will be choked very soon from the food debris. Pardon me to say that the standard of the plumbing work is very poor
  11. For current batch of BTO flats, the offset should be about 150mm. Based on the header of the link, the seller seems to be able to supply offset starting from 100mm. If ordered the wrong offset, the item can still be used as dining chair
  12. 530rmb for 1cm2 with cost u a bomb for the shipment. I believe you are referring to 530rmb per m3
  13. Hey bro, your hickory tiles look good. Surely it is much better than mine. Did the contractor order extra for selection? If possible, clean the flooring and check from the side of the tiles for warping.
  14. Talk a walk along little india, cheap bangala professionals for different trade for hire at cheap rates. Dun need to engage a rocket scientist to paint a room.
  15. Yes, paint remover will do the job. Just apply the pipe for awhile and scrub it off. Avoid contact with skin and it will cause itchiness.
  16. Be warned that the hickory tiles from SBH has warping issue. I have just installed the HT-Coffee and I have to get the contractor to hack out quite a few tiles due to serious warping problem. There are still some tile warping which can still be seen with naked eyes.
  17. Can try to run the piping below the beam and conceal it with L box but the position of your FCU need to be relocated to minimize the expose ducting or conceal completely.
  18. That is the standard practice. But you can tell your electrician to leave the wiring point for you to DIY the connection for the T5. It is very easy to join the T5 together and even a 3yr old kid knows how to do it. It is just like playing Lego brick. Save an addition $8 per T5. If you are adventurous, you can also do the same for all the ceiling lights and fan too. That is what I did for my new house. I manage to shave off about $1000 from the electrician's bill, the electrician also bo bian
  19. Labour charge for option 1 is about $80 Labour charge to run additional point is about $50 or $100 for conceal. Take note that for option 2, the ceiling light has to be far away from the ceiling fan to avoid casting shadow on the floor
  20. Go thru outside the toilet and route back again to the drainage hole so that most of the piping will be outside.
  21. Hi TS, I have too much time on hand plus hand itchy so I come up with my own rendition of the layout if I were to design based on your concerns. 1) toilet door now not facing the entrance door 2) 3 doors not forming a straight line 3) Guest do not have to walk thru the messy WIW 4) Dun have to close the door when changing in WIW 5) Dun even have to close the door when doing "Big Business" in the toilet 6) Enough ventilation at the WIW Just my humble opinion, hope u dun mind.
