A portion of the floor tiles in the hall had been done up. seems quite slow ley the speed. coz when we were there to see how he did, he took about 5 mins to lay each tile. he was there from 9am to 6pm. but only 2/3 of the hall done up tink he eat snake every now and then

these 2 days still not much progress. only patch the wall with cement and do up the door frames. Tiles, sand and cement all delivered liao. whole place bery messy BTW, anyone knows where can get carpets besides IKEA? Can't seem to find a shop that sells carpets only.

oh, i noe where liao yalor, it will take some time to get used to a new location, especially if the 2 are locations are far apart. but ok lah, at least u will have your own house. still can travel to chinatown via NEL. SG so small, from 1 end to another takes at most 1 hour keke these 2 days not much progress with my reno. 2nite go spot check see how is it liao...

ee, chinatown got 3Rm hdb meh??? at least SK got NEL oso, same as wat u have now keke... i just checked the invoice, it didn't state anything about the charges for delay of delivery ley. i will make noise if they wan to charge me

juz received a call from OM, say if still don't deliver our furniture after Jul, they will charge us!!! abit angry coz they didn't tell us about this rule when we bought the items. hopefully the reno will complete on time and able to deliver the furniture there

yalor better be safe than sorry. sometimes these ah long will come back for "revenge" without knowing tat the owner had shifted away. worse still, sometimes the previous owner didn't update their address in their IC and go borrow from ah long again!!! so cheap doesn't mean gd rather pay abit more to get a peace of mind

oh where is your mum staying now??? !! actually, prices had indeed dropped alot. it's just tat plasma min is 42" if i am not wrong. and somehow it's kinda big for my small living rm. dunno ley, maybe get a cheap 32" lcd, brands like Palledine, Sirus seems quite ok ley

give my HB 3.5ft fuul-ht storage oso not enuff for his junk yeah, home-cook meals still the best tatz y we only eat out on weekends. BTW, dunno whether to get a LCD TV or not. currently using the FAT 29" TV. HB wanted to change to LCD but find it abit waste coz FAT tv still working fine. moreover, we saw LCD tv showing tv programs(not dvd movies) not as clear and sharp as FAT tv. any advice from anyone regarding LCD tv???

aiya even though got so many good food but can't eat them everyday oso, bad for health. HB likes to eat hokkien mee, but always kenna scolded by me i think SK is more developed nowadays. anyway, hougang is just nearby and there are many good food there oso if u drive can go jalan kayu, many food outlets there. ya, storage space is important especially in a small house like mine. but the prob is with more storage space, HB tends to keep more junk. but no storage space, he squeezes them everywhere, bery untidy

me SIS lah! initially wanted to hack down storeroom to do up a wardrobe and re-build a small partition in hall as storeroom. end up worried tat the new storeroom will take up too much space and not enough for dining area so we scrap the idea. so now sacrifice the MBR space and wardrobe moreover we need a storeroom coz hubby got lots of junk! but ok lah, i use more space for hanging my clothes, hubby's clothes ask him to fold and put in drawer the mirror looks nice ley, but a bit too long. we oso looking for mirror with wooden frame. will go ikea and check it out! BTW, i didn't know ikea got website haha yup, ours is at blk 611 amk ave 5. behind our blk is a coffeeshop with the Botak Jones american food. ya, the hawker centre has quite alot of good food-ba chor mee, wanton noodles, hokkien mee, vegetarian food(fav) but only go there on weekends. weekdays normally eat at MIL's place

oh ya, i only realised it after i posted. tatz y i edited my post haha... i didn't take any pix of the items that we bought. we bought a sofa from furniture mall. Tv console, side table and bench from OM warehouse sale, less than $700 total dining table is a customed made one so not ready yet. the rest of the items are just things like sink, basin, hood & hob, taps etc. will take pics once they are ready wat is RAM mirror??? me looking for mirrors for both bathrooms. hi Newbiee, you got 600 over posts still Newbiee??? ours is not really a prime location. its about 12mins walk to yio chu kang mrt. but here very convenient, got market, hawker centres, 7 coffeeshops shops, swimming pool(not private one though) etc. somemore MIL stay opp blk, everyday walk over for dinner, save $$$ keke... we bought $167k, quite ok lah. heard from hubby near MRT/AMK hub ones selling >$200k which area is your mum looking to buy? hi Sean, yours also designer style ley! mine more rojak style haha... how come marsiling got new 3RM???

Applefreak, so yours is a new EA flat? @ sengkang? weishun, your flat is really impressive! how i wish ours could be like yours BTW, yours dun come with a storeroom is it? lifestyle, your is an EA oso? where is it huh? can see sunset we on a budget of $20k for our reno so can't do much. My father-in-law is a contractor so we ask him to do. HB and me just "steal" some ideas here and there and came up with the rojak "design" haha... initially we wanted to hack the storeroom and common room, but decided not to do so coz may stay there even when we have kids later on. so discard the idea and decided to keep the original layout bought most of the furniture, lights and bathroom stuff liao. left some small items like mirror, carpets etc. got any suggestions where to get them?
