Yours is fine and well done! I hope my colors are fine. So far they look ok, I love my living room's soft greys. I guess once the furniture is in everything will balance out! -

How was yours installed? I don't know if we made the right decision to insist they change it as per the technician's expertise. The installers insist that there's no issue. Eh the supposed feature wall is the "browner" shade on the wall next to the window. The window walls should be a creamy white, turned out to be a very light yellow. Guess gotta live with it. The two brown shades look the same in the pictures too... Lol. But IRL the master bedroom greige is different from the almond shade in the office. Should've taken the plunge for the charcoal gray in the master! Hahaha! -

Gas heater fixed Though the installer insists previously no issue... We insisted that the technician on the phone says too close. Better safe than sorry I guess. -

Anyway, all lights except kitchen, bomb shelter and fans up already. Fans near the end since my contractor doesn't want them dirty... Painting also done for the most part (Service Yard needs to be fixed cus of the gas heater) I chose all waterproof, weatherproof and completely sealed ceiling lights for easy maintenance while still keeping the ceilings nice and high. Living room Corridor Office Master bedroom The white shade we chose to complement the greige feature walls were too yellow. Went a shade lighter still too yellow. Hoping to get a creamy white, but ah well. Living room is perfect though. Bathroom lights are the same -

I know! Good for you. I was going back and forth with my door beadings to create a classic door, but decided to not do it first and DIY it later to save like $360. But still having it professionally painted. Spray painting it would have costed me $1k+ and laminating my contractor insist don't do. So paint lor. -
Haha yeah saw the IKEA ones. But well, the EC ones also feel ok and they're not Blum... So I guess since its not my forever home I'm just gonna leave it. Lol. Mine also 8 drawers $400...

Bahhhh now you're making me think of upgrading to Blum! Hahaha. But cannot spend anymore money liao

I wanted to do a charcoal grey, Ang mo style, in my bedroom, but no guts... Went with light clean colors for safety. Lol. But those with dark navy and grey super nice

4Rm Resale Reno Journey!

So the contractor is just going to pick up where the ID left off? How did you stop working with him? But such a bummer. Hopefully things go more smoothly for you from now on!! -

Yes, tiles also need to screed, but tiles doesn't require smooth screed. I don't know the technical term for this, but I know that tiles need to screed too. If you look at your living room bare floor and your kitchen floor, there should be a significant drop in height, that's where the screed needs to come in before the tiles, too. Maybe your contractor/ID added in the screeding costs as part of the tiling cost? I know for a fact that screed IS needed though, for all kinds of flooring, but HDB does not provide complimentary screeding for tile laying. -

U still need screeding for tiles. I just laid mine. HDB only screeds free for you after appeal for vinyl and laminate flooring. They do not screed for tiles for free. You can still choose to have them screed it and have your contractor make the screed rougher then place your tiles... But that is not technically "legal". I know of people who have done it though. We have paid for our floors to be screeded then tiles by my contractor... -

No... Haha! The mouldings / beadings are too Victorian. Mine more classic (the ridges should be carved, not protruding, and not ornate, but clean lines). Haha!! I know I know -
