    Starting to feel a bit xiong with the money. Paid the next 40% of the initial quote, but because of the kitchen addition + some other things here and there, still got some ways to go before full payment is made. Small updates today: Because we didn't really have a space for a full-length mirror (so vital for before you leave the house (hahaha!) I decided to mirror up the electrical box. I love the effect! It goes well with some of the other glam items I have (I also have a mirrored tray for the living room) so it kinda all ties in. Plus, it's an extra "feature" wall in the living room and opens it up a bit more. Still trying to envision the mint door color and whether it'll go with the rest of the house (dark floors / light walls). Thoughts? My DIY gold mirror for my Master Bathroom. Haha, ignore the untidy paint marks in the corners... Can't really be seen from the front at all, and this was my virgin attempt at spraypainting a rounded mirror. I like how it contrasts with the white walls and brings in just a bit more glam and classic into the other clean lines. This is gonna be the mirror above my floating sink. Glass panel for the bathtub. I reckon we went about 10cm shorter than we actually should have. Looking at pictures on Pinterest, it should be about half the bathtub length, and ours is closer to 1/3. Hopefully this will not cause problems in the long run... But hubby didn't like it to be too long (obstruct movement in and out of the tub) so he only wanted it to cover most of the WC. Nevertheless was a decent installation. I like the two separate panels! We wanted to do a swing door in this bathroom, but Edmund said it was too bulky (took up too much space). Thinking back, it was a good call to change to this -- looks better than a single panel imo and if I wanna mop the floor etc, it'd be good not to have a door! And I like how the two panels make it even more of a bachelor toilet that it initially was. Since we kept most of the original HDB look in this, I guess this is as good as it gets! Can't wait for the new WCs and sinks to be up... Plus the shower accessories. Bah. So close yet so far. >.<

    No la they don't... Most of my friends also don't... Tiler uncle told me that most people just come for before and after. Mine also took close to 7 hours... It was madness. But we stayed anyway cus hubby was very cautious zzz

    Lol I never even sit on my WC before I buy! But I am not picky. Haha. As long as it's not the teeny BTO one that HDB gave. Hopefully will not regret my decision! U guys one not bad leh still German brand... Haha!

    My rental also until end of March 2016, but my landlord is a vvv nice guy, and he's letting us move out early. Also helped us with electronics purchases / bed etc cus he has contacts.But I decided to let him keep my deposit anyway, and hire professional cleaners to clean up the place before I go... I will miss them and their family when I'm gone! Mine is a dual key so they are my "neighbors" and they've been so great to us. They won't want to rent cus will be Christmas and CNY so up to them to find again... Feel like a year of blessings, though money is indeed tight now cus of no loan. Hai.

    Wah, I always thought their handiwork very good cus they so particular about flat floor all. Oh ya yours got quite a bit of glass works!! And whole house carpentry hahaha. Yeah then I might move in ahead of you. Left a bit more things to buy, very scary. So much to pay for!! Yours confirm very impressive when done... So big sia your WIW... I don't think i can even fill 1/3 haha

Now I'm just swimming in bills so I don't dare go think so much just pay only. 😂😂😂 Yours also seems to be progressing along quite well! But resales need a bit more work!

    I also stayed there the whole time but I think most people don't? Cus it's a looooong time. Just make sure you're there to let them know how you wanna run it and before they leave so u can check on works!

    Haha, mine not as big project as yours ma. But I think won't la... I think. Actually also still have SY Windows and bifold doors, then room doors. But I reckon those should be quite fast. Finally I can see how it'll look together!! My fireplace not here yet though. Yours looks good, like ready already. Still got WIW carpentry?

    Apparently my carpentry is coming on MONDAY!! Really need to give trophy to Edmund. And my glassworks are up tomorrow!! So only left with leftover plumbing work, electrical work (dismantling 2nd WC and installing both; installing sink and tap; shower sets; kitchen faucet and sink; installation of 3 ceiling fans and my medallion ) and touching up of paint then it's DONE!!!

    My luxury spa in the making + SimpleHuman Stuff Quality looks awesome. Might order more bins even though they're quite pricey. Need one for the living room, office and bedroom! Also swung by Spotlight to buy some cheap canvas and gold acrylic paint to create some art for my Master bedroom... This was done in 20 minutes flat. HAHA. Another coat after it dries. Did this after seeing this on Pinterest Also bought two gold candle holders / vases for decorating the mantel of the fireplace. Fireplace already OTW, last shipment from TB coming soon... Can't wait!

    SECOND TAOBAO LOOT + FIRST AMAZON LOOT The finish on this was much better than I expected. Hopefully it will go well with the gold elements of the main door and the house. Hehe. I was planning to emulate that mint door picture I chose. Since I'm gonna spray paint the handles gold... Might as well. It is a vintage cast iron piece though, so I'm excited to have that. Vintage pieces make my heart sing!

    Haha everyone chose this so yes! This is what I went with. Thanks for affirming it. I went with mint green door and gloss black gate. Haha. I also went on a 不归路 I bought this door knocker in gold... for my mint door. LOL. With the digital peephome I don't know how it will look. My house is unequivocally modern classic and London already. Cannot turn back already.

    GUYSSSSSSS which door color nicer?! I'm repainting my main door. Probably spraying my handles to satin black or gold. And my main gate should be glossy black! Which color should I choose!!
