    Received ~190kg (volumetric weight I think) of stuff today from TB. My dining chairs came good quality but I think in the wrong color. Talking to 65DG about it but it's not too bad still la. All the purchases were good except for one carpet, which was farrrrrrr too different from the pictures and I also wrote to 65DG about it. The rest were good! Hopefully I get them sorted out and can show y'all soon...

    Woah!! So powerful! combat has worked in my home BUT only the first time. Meaning once the ant infestation gets noticed, you use combat, then once they disappear u have to be careful not to allow the infestation to occur again and you'll never ever get it again. Hahaha! My place la. Yours probably too big to ensure that!! Thanks for the recommendation!

    Beveled edges are not easy to create and has its maintenance issues if created using plywood and spray painted... Almost went for the IKEA range but due to the covering up of pipings, was easier to go the custom route. Some others have carved the edges using solid wood (super expensive), others have created ones using multiple pieces of wood etc... Curious to see how your contractor does it for you. though I might be a little sad because I do love it.

    Hope that the shaker style cabinets come to life for you! We scrapped it due to many reasons, though I love them as well. I had to settle for the smooth surface. Excited to see yours!

    To me it's actually not that bad, but because nowadays everyone also do false ceiling so contractors / IDs like to say it's ugly. Last time house also all run the casing... So it really depends on how much it bothers you.

    Same for me. I used all existing HDB light ports only so I have no casings on that But I did add 1 socket each for living room, and 2 bedrooms. Visible casing but ran along the floor so can't really see. Painted same color too.

    Mattresses are personal preference la. No one better than the other. That said, I believe my friend who has back issues felt that Simmons beds are more firm and Sealy ones are more cushy for her, so she chose the firm ones. We prefer sleeping on a "cloud" so we went with Sealy.

    Mine also all MK switches. I also didn't have much opinions about switches, they look fine to me. And the layout of your bathroom looks awesome! Actually looks pretty spacious and well-planned!

    Mine was a bit of both. Most works were already done by then but pending some small stuff that had to wait. So I moved in my stuff after chemical washing and then still left the contractor's lock (no valuable stuff inside though). After the works are 99% completed then I lock using my own lock. Official handover was chemical wash, though.

    Nextstep bro, try using melamine sponge from Daiso on the scratch / white mark. Might work. Just wet it and it'll do.

    Haha I know! I could feel your joy when you updated your T-Blog too. Everyone's pride and joy is their self-designed house, right?! Haha! Yes it looks like marble in real life. Even my contractor has commented that the effect is quite surprising. Haha! The fireplace was a risk... But glad it turned out well. HAHA YES PAINTING THE DOOR WAS MY BEST DECISION EVER!!!
