  1. Anyway I still need to pay to get them down for installation right? I am trying not to touch the existing false ceiling.. Now looks like I have no choice but to tear the false ceiling down
  2. Hi OceanEleven, I have also engaged Foo for my house. I am also very pleased with his helpfulness, imagine we spent 3hrs at the tile shop and the day after I asked for change to colour combi for one of the toilets. He was very nice about it though I felt bad though. Have just started hacking last week so hopefully a smooth Reno process as well. Will keep checking back for more of your updates. Wishing you a smooth smooth Reno journey!
  3. Yup, I hacked part of the wall to create a door way for my wiw. You can also see my renovation floor plan to get a clearer picture of which part of wall I've hacked. Hehe..
  4. Erm, you won't be able to see toilet from the master bedroom door entrance (you will only see a wall, haha..). If you take a look at my post #1, referring to the last photo (renovation floor plan), you will see that I have erected a wall right outside the bathroom. The vanity takes up part of the space of the master bedroom. You can see the new wall just beside the bed area in one of the photos I uploaded yesterday.
  5. I have a Ariston Pro 30 litre tank heater installed in the common bathroom. It is not shown in the photo. I have it installed on the opposite wall of the shower area.
  6. Yup, the price is without the sink. It consist of the tap, 600l filter and a carafe. See this link for more info: http://www.grohe.com/is/14187/kitchen/water-filter-kitchen-faucets/grohe-blue-pure/product-details/?product=33249-G227&color=000
  7. I bought it during a sales at about $1.6k from Interior Affairs.
  8. Hehe! Thanks bert7332! I bought the lights from Kak Guan Hardware & Electric Trading, Block 302, Ubi Ave 1, #01-21/23, (S)400302. It cost only $18.50 per light. V cheap!

  10. My Grohe Blue Pure (the tap has separate internal waterways – one for filtered water and the other for unfiltered water, which means I can drink directly from the tap!)
  11. Hi Sherting, I used it for wiw and storeroom. The white door on the right hand side is the storeroom. You can see my newly uploaded photos for the wiw. Of cuz you can also display photos! Yes, I used the same white glossy laminate throughout. I wanted everything simple. Haha.. Erm..... I guess the lizard can still stick on it from the outside.. I will act blind if it really happen...
  12. Master bathroom (brought out the vanity in order to create wet/dry area and is still waiting for the mirror to be mounted above the basin):
  13. More photos.. Common bathroom: Walk in wardrobe (this is behind the new erected wall with chalkboard paint):
  14. Thanks Songz! Hope that u will have a smooth journey like me during your renovation!
  15. I got them from www.allposters.com. I was also hunting for ages. Lol.. Finally found what I wanted from this website.
  16. Thanks for the compliment Hojichalatte! I'm really glad that most of you like it!
  17. Hi Claypot, unfortunately the $42K excludes all the stuff u mentioned. The $42K is purely spent on reno only (i.e. hacked/erect wall, re-layed the wirings, water pipes, carpentry, tiling, flooring etc). I do not have ceiling fan, but have a System 3 Mitsubishi Starmex inverter aircon. I purchased them from Aron Putt, but is mainly liasing with Ah Boon (the head installer). Overall, I am satisfied with Ah Boon and his team on the aircon installation. No issues so far.
  18. Hi Danmify, I will not share my itemised quotation. But the total cost of reno is about $42K. I have made some changes in between the reno. So is still waiting for Alan to give me the final bill. The only thing I kept is the windows. Hope this helps! Thanks for the compliment razzberrie! Erm... In fact I did not keep the diamond clock left by the prev owner as I was not so into old school theme.
  19. It's good for people who likes to doodle. Alan was saying my chalkboard wall is big. I told him good mah, can draw more!
  20. Next is the kitchen. Counter table: Cooking area: Oven and microwave: Laundry rack from TAME: Insect screen from DIY Magnetic (self installed). Prevent the most irritating lizards and flying objects from attacking me :
  21. Ok, as promised, here are the photos of my renovation. Living room: Tv Console/Cabinet/Shoes Cabinet: Dining area: Lights above dining area: The new wall erected in the living room, painted with chalkboard paint:
  22. Yes Songz. I am indeed one of the lucky ones. Haha.. I have also been reading the t-blog of inthechouse and Makanology.. I was ........
  23. Thanks Troublemaker! This is slightly bigger than the normal 3rm flat. The property agent called this 3.5rm flat.
