I also heard of the cement screed done by HDB is free but the question is at what thickness they are providing? I do notice said some ID doing it for free but I guess the price should be markup high somewhere.

Dear All, Beside going for Gain City for Aircon, any other better companies?
-
Normally when you paid 10% of the contract sum, the ID would proceed do the 3D drawings. Usually how long could we expect the 3D drawings be ready? Any idea how many times we entilte to amend?

What brand are you using?

If based on the list from CASE Singapore, there are only 21 ID companies under CaseTrust. Doing renovation is like a big amount of $$, the worst part if the ID close shop went bust we cannot do anything. Same like you, I am also looking at ID's in which some are under CaseTrust & some are not.

Currently I had one is asking me to pay $1,000 to see 3D drawings. I have yet to see the quotation yet in order to do comparision.
-
So you paid $300 to see the 3D drawings? I believe most of them do not have any dimension in the 3D drawings. Seem like once you paid the 3D drawings you most likely will enter agreement with the ID.

The following ID's are under Case Trust but I wonder how would it benefits consumers like us? http://app.case.org.sg/casetrust.plx?rm=results

Guides To Renovation
titank replied to Mrcontractor's topic in RENOVATION IDEAS: Interior Design Themes, Space Planning
Dear Mr Contractor, (1) There was one particular ID requested me to pay certain amount of $$ to view the 3D drawings. If the 3D drawings is accepted by me (No idea how many pieces would be), then we proceed paying 25% for acceptance in the agreement. If not most ID, would be 20-30% pay for acceptance into the agreement. My question is we as a consumer could negotiate on the payment terms? I do notice that most of the last amount is only 5%. (2) Vinyl Flooring is a type that comes with rubber. May we know what the general thickness available in the market? (3) What is the average cost to install a lighting point & a electrical socket point? How about if it is relocation? (4) Should we go for a renovation package (Sort like a Combo Meal) or ala-carte package in which we tell our requirements to the ID? -
Most important ask for the brand.
-
Yes at the most I could get is the quotations from various ID. To proceed on to see the 3D drawings mean mostly have to proceed signing up with them unless pay 3D drawings & walk away.

Care to share of any ID? -
Hi All, Anyone can share generally the payment terms different terms? Generally I find that always the last term is just 5%. Could we negotiate the payment terms differently? Also usually how much to pay & see 3D drawings?
