  1. Renovation has started! The main renovation is actually my small kitchen since the rest of the house seems ok. This is how my small kitchen looks like: ">http:// As I do not like built in cabinets, I bought a franc franc kitchen cabinet to store microwave, toaster, canned food, spices, utensils e.g. plates, cups etc. I have asked the contractor to hack away the stove area and create a smaller cement area on the left for the stove. As for the right side, I will be placing my franc franc kitchen cabinet there. The sink area will still be the same except that I need to shift the whole sink slightly to the left hand side (nearer to the window) so that I have some working space. ">http:// ">http://>
  2. Thanks for the suggestion. I have decided to leave it to my contractor as he is charging me a cheaper rate of $450 for 2 doors. I guess he has earned from the hacking of door frame n patching and tiles, so, he can charge me at $450 for 2 doors! I can't lugi like that!
  3. Oic. Can't tell from the photos. I thought its the kitchen area. Hmm.. are you able to demarcate that 1m area into something else? To make it look as if you purposely "make" the beam like that?
  4. Wow! I saw a lot of colors in your hse! This is something new!
  5. Cannot leave it like that meh? I think that looks good to me too!
  6. Yup! Can do false ceiling if you have extra cash! What is your preference though?
  7. I think you can go to Gain City website to get a rough estimate?
  8. Congrats on your new house! It must have been comfortable in the new house!
  9. When are you starting your renovation? From 29th April onwards?
  10. You can get similar "Mirror with LED" from Howard Storage World in Singapore.
  11. Do you have an idea how your European classics or Victorian theme will look like? If you have an idea, then possibly you can try IDs who do not have experience in this area and yet they are willing to explore this theme... I find that European classics or Victorian theme will be a bit tricky. For e,g,, if you talk about European classics, which European country are you referring to? Which era are you referring to? Pre-war or Post-war? The nobles? The castle type or the common folk type? Just my thoughts... Mine is very simple! Rojak theme! wahaha.. Good luck in your search!
  12. That doesn't sound right to me! What if you paid and they can't give you the design you want? Hmm...
  13. The current bathroom door can open fully and did not knock against any basin or wc. So, i guess its fine. I have bad experience with sliding and bifold doors. I am still looking around for aluminium swing doors. The quote is from $300+ to $400+ per door. I am going to change 2 bathroom doors. Any recommendations?
  14. Good good! Heard a few forumners' bad experiences. I felt so bad for them... sigh...
  15. How much is the footstool? Do you have the link for the footstool? I am looking for one! Thanks!
  16. Well.. the selection of IDs can depend on a few factors: your budget, the ID's experience etc. Do read through a few tblogs if you are shortlisting the few "common" IDs and contractors to see if you feel safe leaving your house in their care!
  17. A forumner has applied lacquer to the cement screed floor. You can consider that too.
  18. Wow! That is a major renovation! Looking forward to the final "product"!
