On second hand, I am thinking if I should change the tiles to ceramic tiles coz I doubt that the stains will be all gone. And those homogenous tiles seems to be easily stained with water... Thinking in the long run, the tiles will get darker with time and possibly its a better idea to change all the tiles?

really? The contractor will help me clean it meh? foc?

I bought the stain remover cleaner at Home Fix at Anchorpoint! I am sure that it can be found in other places as well.

This is the final result! On a "closer" look: ">http:// On a "farther" look ">http://> And the winner is: Daiso Sponge! As the Daiso sponge is made of melamine, do remember to wear a pair of rubber gloves when using it. As for the stain remover cleaner, I realised that it can clean the gaps between tiles very well. I don't need to exert any strength in cleaning the grout at all!

I have tried 3 different methods to clean the tiles: a) Baking Soda b) Daiso sponge ">http:// c) Stain remover cleaner ">http://>

I went to my new house and found that there are black and white stains on the homogenous tiles. The homogenous tiles are those reflective type. Does anyone know how to remove those stains on the tiles? Its not the dirt on the grout.

No tiling, no hacking of walls (just hacking of the cement kitchen hob), no rewiring, no carpentry... Heehee...
-
Ahahha... your red wall is a bit difficult to paint over loh... needs to have at least 3 coats liao... keekee...
-
No problem! Its much easier to paint an empty house. I am the "painter" in my family. Got years of experience liao! Wahahaha

During our parents' era, as they dun have much $, they also did the basic necessity and can still live in with no problem. I guess i inherit their kind of "simple" living since young. Ahahaha... So, just the basic minimal style will do! With aircon and painting the walls n the kitchen reno, i hope to keep the reno fees below 10k. Hmm... possible?

Wow! Thats a lot of work, isn't it? I am planning to paint my house myself to save some $!

Congrats! The state of house seems ok! I think you will need at least 3 coats of paint to "conceal" that red wall!

Rejected From Banks For Reno Loan
Troublemaker replied to cremelectric's topic in Finance and Insurance
Maybe you can try financial institutions like HongLeong etc? Please do not borrow from licensed moneylenders or worse, those loansharks! Worse come to worse, do the basic necessity like kitchen hob and fixing the sink... I am not borrowing any money from bank to do renovation at all. I am only prepared to spend less than 5k for simple renovation like fixing the kitchen hob n replace the sink niah. I rather stay in a bare minimalist home than be on debts. -
I saw it in tao bao (淘宝) before. Can go n have a look!
