My resale flat has this problem too. I used melamine sponge from Daiso. It works but you need to spend time scrubbing the floor. You can refer my tblog: bachelorette on budget for photos.

Hob & Hood - Which Brand Should I Buy?
Troublemaker replied to joper's topic in Electronics & Electricals
There are also Aerogaz and Tecno. I just bought Aerogaz 30cm hob as my kitchen is small. The other reason is that I normally cook with 1 stove niah. If I need to cook 2 or more, then I will use the induction cooker loh... I haven't used it yet as my renovation hasn't even started! The measurements of Aerogaz is 30cm x 50cm. I bought it at $250. -
Built in cabinets are a headache to new owners if they do not like it and they will have to spend more money to hack it away. That's the reason why I chose my flat as the previous owner did not have any built in cabinets at all. As for the bomb shelter door, since the door and handle are already that visible, maybe you can make that a feature? Paint the door with chalkboard paint and so you can doodle on it? I think some forumners did that and I like that effect!

Possibly you want to consider hacking/dismantling the whole cabinet first? When you have excess funds, then make a new one?

Welcome! A different 4 room layout! Nice! Good luck in your reno!

Being kaypoh, i researched on woodworms. Woodworms are pretty common in uk. As in how do you get woodworms? Its either they fly in from the windows or commonly found in second hand furniture. There are a few types woodworms but the common trait is that woodworms survive in moist wood. Some woodworms target plywood. So, there is a suggestion that using a dehumidifier actually works as it dries the wood. I am not sure if it really works. The last resort is to throw away the infected wood as woodworms may infest other furniture in your house.

Annie, can you share with me the location of the shop? I am thinking of going there to get some stuff too! Thanks!

Ahahah... I definitely agree with you on that statement. Their "budget" is not budget as ours! I only plan to spend 10k niah as I don't want to take out those renovation loan...

I am meeting my contractor next monday. I will ask him about the tiles!
-
Yup! I am considering laminate flooring too.
-
I am on budget mah aka cheapskate. Ahahahha... Anyway, i just felt that its a waste if the tiles are still alright and that i can just clean the tiles with just normal mopping. After mopping the floor, the tiles didn't get any cleaner ( i gotta use special sponge to scrub it) and that the water residues may leave a stain mark on the tiles too. Hence, i am contemplating now.
