Here is the picture of my bathroom door. Its aluminium swing door. So far so good. But I think I might run into a problem later on. The whole white panel might cave in after 2 years time as there is no support in the middle... hmm... And... my Toshiba aircon! ">http:// I have installed 2 aircons. One is in the common room and the other in the MBR. The only visible trunking can be seen on both photos, above the mbr door and the toilet door! The common room does not have any trunking at all! ">http://> Toshiba aircon is really quiet! At least to me! ahahaha...

If you are going to rerun your aircon trunking and reposition the aircon, i think you better outsource to another party. Your ID is also at fault regarding the aircon and flooring matters. My aircon installer discussed with me regarding the position of the aircon and the way the trunking will run. I was not around when the aircon guy installed them. My contractor even asked me if the aircon guy knew the location to install aircon n trunking and i assured my contractor that the aircon guy knew. However, i am curious on the position of the aircon. Why is it so near to the window?

Take it easy! We are bound to meet with hiccups or problems during the renovation. I did very minimal renovation to the house and I spent around 5K+. I would say its not cheap if I were to see the things that were done but my renovation is a small project and hence, the contractor will definitely have to earn from somewhere. For a small project like mine, not many contractors will even want to take up in the first place!. Hang in there! Cheers.

Nope. I almost got my sofa from them. They have their own factory besides the showroom. Hmm... what bad reviews do they have?

You can try ComfortDesign. Its located near Paya Lebar MRT. I am not sure is your egg shaped swing chair similar to the cacoon swing? If so, it is selling at $499 (promotion price)! http://www.comfortfurniture.com.sg/sale/cacoon-swing/

I felt that you don't really need to care about the theme as long as you renovate/decorate the house according to your likes!

I love colors which are bluish-green/mint/teal! I think it gives out a good vibe! I shall explore Dulux paint the next time. A pity that i couldn't find Dulux paint around my area... hiaz...

I like your master bedroom color. Can share the code of the paint?

Thanks, koori! I was reading my insurance policy and did not see any clause that mentioned "overseas purchases". I bought the premium Etiqa fire insurance.

I have the same cushions too! Ahahaha

I had a conversation with the window installer just now. He mentioned that lights which are not bought in Singapore (e.g. lights from taobao, malaysia), they do not have the "certified safe sticker". In an event that there is fire due to the lights, the fire insurance won't be able to insure us. Is that true?

Thanks!

No problem on that! I will review on the lights from TB, as well as my solid wood doors (bedroom) and sliding windows after they have been installed. I shall review on my Aluminium Swing doors (bathroom) soon!

Don't you need to have a storeroom for those rarely used items e.g. luggauge? Maybe u can try out what Apple1's friend did by asking your helper to share the room with one of your kids (with the folding door concept)? -
Thanks! The painter's tape that I used when i painted the door frame, had paint coming off the wall after i peeled it off... hmm... maybe i bought the low quality one... I will get a good quality painter's tape this time round! I will touch up on the edges when my lights from tb are fixed (they are still on their way to sg) as I will need to touch up on the ceilings again! But its pretty fun! My hard work!
-
You mean the edge where the ceiling meets the wall? That is the most difficult part to paint... I can only paint as close to the ceiling as possible... 1 mistake and i need to touch up on the ceiling again... haiz... I have to wait until I recover from my shoulder ache first...

If she really doesn't mind the room aka storeroom, and really want to have some personal space, then possibly you can make some amendments to the door? Is it possible to have a "window" on the door? Since she is sleeping on the upper deck, the window on the door can be placed higher for ventilation. It does sound clastrophobic to me though...
