    hi ck1005, the sink was from SaniQuo. price should be $460 hi Asterus, the tv console was custom-built by my ID. price will be dependent on your actual measurement.. we found the price to be reasonable and very similar to what you can buy in furniture stores.

    my fridge is actually the smaller of the 2 availabe as i dont have much space in the kitchen too. its just nice for 2 pax.. haha. the glass surface was what attracted us to it, but can attract fingerprints that we need to wipe off.

    our screed wall cost below $1.5k, however it would definitely differ if you have a shorter/longer wall. As for the TV mounting, please refer to post #176 and #178 above =)

    hi johnlowcw, thanks for your comment. i will not be sharing my quotation to be fair to my ID. however have stated that the entire reno cost about $45k.

    quite lucky that nowadays there are so many different tiles to choose from. in the beginning i tot all wall tiles came in small squares and are white, cream etc. haha!

    hello! the painting is from taobao. it is quite difficult to align the 3 pieces tho. thanks for your kind words! the mirror in the master toilet was custom built by my ID, the other smaller one was from IKEA hi! i am nt sure if there is a brand but i bought this at Takashimaya level 2 (the pots and pans area) its quite handy and will whistle when the water is boiled. i think its not zebra brand. haha probably doesnt have any brand. i got it from taka level 2 and they have it in a few colors that are muted and looks matte. for the fruit flies, they have somewhat disappeared.. at first it was kind of exasperating having to clean them out everyday but we found out from our neighbours that they have had the same issues. i had the hitachi service man come over and there was no issues with the fridge.. he said it was likely to be due to the fact that it was a new neighbourhood and naturally the env was dirty with all the rubbish and construction. he added that once more people moved in the problem would likely go away. and it appears to be so! so its probably not the fridge hehe.

    thanks MrsJohnB. you are so kind. i think it feels spacious as we havent had the chance (and money) to buy more furniture to fill the space hehehe! need a while for our pockets to heal. hopefully as we go along, we will have some new additions to spruce it up.

    there is a hole behind the tv where u insert the wires, and the wires come through the back of the tv console where there are electrical plugs. does it make sense? im bad at explaining these sort of stuff.

    everytime i open your thread, it is a love-hate relationship. because i love the metal gate but i hate how seeing it makes me GIAN. omgggg. i just convinced myself that i shant change the gate, since my friends have alrdy visited and there would only be us appreciating the gate, BUT seeing these pics again, make me consider AGAIN. btw, is it matte? and its aluminium right? so not heavy to open and close i suppose? arghhhhh... the stickers/decal are very cute tho. thanks for sharing the link, maybe can do something for the hdb given modem/switchbox cupboards

    i am always tempted when i see ur main gate....... but cant bear to change since it will cause xxx! anwyay in love with ur steel dungeon door. super cool and noting ive seen before. great job! how will your lighting be? noticed u used alot of dark colored tiles/laminates. so am interested to see how the lights will playup the house!

    they are from our ID's contact but most of the curtains/blinds vendors would have this roll up blinds. they are opaque but during the day, light can still come through. for your reference below hi, it is actually laminated so it wont corrode. we also wipe the vanity cabinet and avoid contact with too much water.

    haha. cuz our side of vanity got no space!! not like ur vanity ledge so long. nowadays the new bto only gives a square area. if i put the toilet roll at the side of my vanity, when i sit down on the WC, sure kenna scratched. haha. as for the water, we only wash the toilet floor once a week and leave to dry so now too big an issue for us since it dries fast. indeed i think i shd get some gloves. i kenna some mr muscle on my fingers and they had a very steralised and clean smell. and i understand what u mean abt dark toilets not being photogenic. hahah i also think my photo doesnt do justice to my mbr toilet cuz of the dark wall tiles. anyway, i think we have got the same WC (not round not square) haha... and i like ur white main door! very nice.

    thanks MrsJohnB =) we have changed our bedsheets and realised that with our blue sheets and red quilts, they accidentally matched the boat poster in the MBR haha! as for the chair legs, yes i got the inspiration from the profile pic from google images. being out for most of the day working, we dont get to enjoy the house as much as we want.. but it is still nice to have a home to return to. hehe. cant wait to see your renovation

    the toilet roll placement was one headache for us too.. wanted to install at the shower glass door (beside the WC) but scared it drop or spoil the look of the glass door.. behind the toilet door was too much of a reach LOL.. in the end we settled for in between the WC and the basin (slightly higher so it won't splash onto the paper)... what some of my neighbours did was to ask the ID to open a hole at the side of the vanity cabinet to put the roll in. so u have slightly less space inside the cabinet but ur toilet roll is hidden and easily accessed. for my MBR toilet the water also slides backwards, rather than towards the drainage, when i spray water over the tiles... and the corners at the shower area need to be cleaned more regularly as water and soap tends to remain there.. anyway use Mr Muscle anti-mold spray to clean and it works wonders!! esp if you face this red stain (some bacteria) in your toilet area later... http://www.ag.ndsu.edu/news/newsreleases/2010/aug-9-2010/red-substance-in-tub-toilet-is-bacteria interested to see ur toilet pics!!

    oops!! it actually looks more like dark birch (quite true to the pic w the fridge)... but with lighting its okay. my breakfast counter same laminate too! saw that u kept the brick wall!

    alamak! i duno what happened. not sure how to increase the bandwidth for photobucket... erps. my house BTO leh cannot sell for 5 years hahaha. and its a good location for us near mrt and in-laws so i dont know what are the chances of us selling wahaha. but yes home decor is so addictive. cant help but to keep looking out for nice things to add to the house, be it armchair, tea towels, aprons or posters...running out of space!
