  5. i finally went to visit my house just now! it was in complete mess when i was there. so many pple ard n every1 is talking to every1 ... i didn't expect ID to be ard at the point i went. luckily we went! there is some mistake in carpentry for our study table side and need our verification. i can't imagine if ID were to call and discuss this issue over the phone. anyway hope we have made the correct decision... shall wait n c the final product *pray hard* then this pool of pple left and the accessories guys (2 of them) came to install our miscs ... initally we used masking tape as a guideline where we wanted ... so luckily (again!) we where there, we could verified the exact locations to the installer and since we were there (haha kept repeating this statement) hub do a live measurement to c if the rainshower will hit his head. all of us were very worried that hub head will hit the rainshower as new BTO hav this beam thing to cover the pipings in toilet, which really lower the ceiling at our shower area by alot. HENG AR! still have about ~5cm or 10cm? away from hub's head ... haha i think he wont feel the "rain" it will be just "shower from the top" ... i can enjoy the rain with my compromising height hehehe :D sometimes its not too bad to be short :X after measuring the rainshower, we left the accessories installer to busy their own stuff ... so me n hub went to kitchen to play with our soft closing cabinets. n OMG 1 of the guy alr installed my service yard dual taps while the other was helping us with the rainshower .... so efficient!!
  6. I buy from lion city co The model are R48SP and R56SV
  7. Putting up the cove lighting is not as simple as I thot n I hv learnt sth new! There are many ways to do up ur cove lighting. The common ones are: 1) normal t5 2) led t5 (my choice) 3) led stripes According to my electrician, the normal t5 gives the best outcome as the lights are very "soft" & "gentle"... which is the effect that cove lighting are supposed to give. Led t5 are ultimately led, so it will give "hard" lines so the effect is not so gentle ... He has a hard time putting this comparison idea across to my hub so I asked hub to imagine it to be lyk star wars lightsaber (I can't believe myself tt I actually can udn him. Lol.) Led stripes, again is led. So he say if u look closely, u will c dot dot dot dot kind of lighting instead of very smooth. But led stripes hv many colours ... In the end, I still go against the electrician n choose led t5 because of this shadowless casing so the t5 tubings can be placed back to back .... If u use normal t5 u will hv this gap at the connection ... For the normal t5 I heard they solve this shadow issue by not aligning it in 1 straight row (1 front 1 back to overlap the connection part) n while browsing tru the photos posted by my neighbours in my BTO Facebook group... I can spot this "gap" in the cove lightings in some cases. Another concern I have is the amt of heat generated from these t5 lights if it's not led. It's easily 10 tubes there. I don't want to be bbq when watching tv~ So i was scrutinising my living covelight photo sent to me by hub jus now, n quite pleased that the led t5 is really quite shadowless! n well, not so star wars afterall.
  8. I didn't go to the house again cos it's raining! .... BUT hub go down again today!! I'm so envy happy tt he went, so he could send me some pic updates ... my 56" kdk fan in living + T5 led cove lighting peek of my kitchen I think hub is trying to show me the workers hv done up the casement door laminates and solid surface ... less the drawers ... I'm so looking forward to this wkend so I can fly down to check out the house with my own eyes!!! :dribble:
  9. Sure! I can't wait to try on it too! Thnx! The 48" in MBR is $200 while the 56" in living room is $280.
  10. I like ur positive attitude!! Anyway since ur toilet tiles r in such beautiful grey, u can request the painter to paint it to similar grey tone. It shld camouflage better then My toilet is black, n I request them to paint the exposed trunking in the toilet to black too. Haha can u imagine the huge contrast of white trunking against black tiles....
  11. a short update from hub today. he was nearby and drop by quickly to check out the hse. he told me tt the workers r wrking on the carpentry while he arrived n not much changes was made from our last visit. however, fans n lights were installed. Hub then send me the pics he took ... 48" kdk fan in MBR light in common bedroom (will be same for both) hub didn't take any photos in the living room, guess maybe the workers r there so he don wanna disturb or wad ... OMG! So its lyk a mystery to me! How I wish I was there ... Hv the sudden urge to fly dwn to see with my own eyes how the living room look lyk, n oso compare the real thing w the photos, n how the lights look lyk when switch on! I need to practice self control. Hope I can drop by tml

  13. Have been without my mac for a whole wk. This is the first time I'm writing a post using my hp. Lolsss... Hub actually hv an extremely busy n crazy working schedule but we still drop by quickly to check on the hse... becos ID says carpentry hav started on Friday! tv feature wall & shoe cabinet sink area tall unit and hob area it's so exciting seeing all the carpentry going up Anyway, I bump into my direct neighbour today when I visit my house. Their reno hav alr finished and I guess they came to clean up today.. I smiled at them and the female owner smiled back. The male owner looked abit fierce to me though. Maybe he was tired from the cleaning. I was having the same internal struggle when I first bumped into the workers in my house :X ... deep down in me I very wanted to approach them n say hi, n want to kpo kpo c if they allow me to visit their hse .... but ya, as usual the timid me just kept it at a simple smile ... I hope my neighbour don find me unfriendly! I'll try to b brave and say hi next time! Anyway we hv ample time to interact when we shift over Meanwhile I can practice here. HELLO NEIGHBOUR!

  15. Haven't own one yet. U can easily check the price online or in the shops.
  16. The tap cost RMB58, so it's S$10++. Usually I consolidate a few items I wan to buy and send it to a China forwarder, who will then wait for all my items to arrive, check, repack to 1 parcel n send to sg. In this case i only pay delivery for the big/heavy items as the small/weightless items can tag on it. Items from shop to forwarder: depends on shop. usually 1 to 2 days. From forwarder to sg: within 1 wk by air.
