    Hi Seng,

    Congrats on your new home! Love the look of your toilet. Am wondering what brand of instant heater you using and is the rainshower bought separately? Cos I am looking for a nice looking rainshower for use with instant heater but worried that the pressure not enough. Is yours okay?

    What did u buy from Tao bao?

    brought a few things:

    1. track light

    2. kitchen sink

    3. kitchen tap

    4. master & common bathroom sink with cabinet

    5. master & common bathroom shower curtain

    6. master & common bathroom tap

    7. master & common bathroom accessories

    8. standing light

    so far that all i can think of.

    I see...so now is the time to look for ids/contractors...have you shortlisted one yet? Although repeating requirements again and again can be pretty tiring process it does gives you a better idea of what you want and can do for your unit. Given that your reno can only start mid March and if you are not in a hurry to move, you got quite a bit of time to shop for ID/contractors...enjoy the journey...tough but surely worth it after you see your place all done up :)

    Since Feb till Mar was hectic meeting up with ID/Contractors. I didn't expect each session will last more then 3hrs. After selected the ID/Contractor, there are more selection to be made. :wacko:

    You are going for 1st or 2nd appointment ?

    Actually I will be getting key on 27th but my housing agent will take for me and pass it to me in the night as I need to work.

    Due to calender showing not advisable for housing, so I take my mum's advice to go open on Friday.

    When will your reno start ?

    Tomorrow will be the second appointment

    Update :

    Went to inspection yesterday and found the house to be in a better condition than i expected. (Maybe can save on reno more ? )

    Will be getting keys this Friday, I will post pictures of the house again.

    The second HDB appointment is on 28 Mar 2014, but the seller had requested to extend to stay for another 2 weeks. so estimated start date for renov will be around 13 Apr 2014.

    Hi Seng, congrats on getting ur flat, & welcome to the 3-roomers' club & to RT! :)

    Hv a pleasent 1st appt on 元宵节/V-Day, & look forward to an exciting & smooth reno journey! :D

    The 'garden walkway' leading to ur unit very nicely done up, at least looks quite well-maintained.. but it does limit the walking space & will pose hindrance to ur reno (materials & furniture delivery, etc.) :unsure:

    True on the limit the walking space, likely I am still pass thru heheh.

    Maybe during the renov had to talk to them to shift the pots.

    Was at the Modern Living 2014, saw the laminate flooring and request for quote for living & bedroom rooms. Was quoted $3,052 for Vinyl Flooring. Most of the ID / contractors quote for only the 2 bedrooms was estimate to be $2,600 and was laminate flooring (not sure what is the price psf). So went ahead to purchase, but request to chose the colour later.

    On the 14 Feb 2014 will be heading to HDB for my 1st appointment to purchase a HDB resale 3 rooms unit at Bedok North.
    The floor plan is as following:

    The whole unit need to be renovated and had been meeting up with IDs & contractors (yet to finish) and the estimated minimum amount is $28K.

    Each meet up require at least 2hours and repeating the same thing, but the good things about it is having different solution to the same issue.
